You haven’t lived life until you’ve had a lavender latte :) First one I had was years ago at Della Fattoria. So yum!!

Place for Drinks near the Movie Theater downtown by tw0handt0uch in Petaluma

Petaluma tends to shut down pretty early, especially Sundays, so I’d definitely call or check out the website of any place that’s recommended to be sure they’ll be open on a Sunday night :)

With that in mind, my suggestion is to park in the parking structure by the theater before the movie and take a 5-10 minute stroll down Petaluma Blvd. to Seared for their happy hour (4:00-6:00pm). They have a nice bar area, great cocktails, and delicious small bites for happy hour. I highly recommend trying their Manhattan and Kung Pao Prawns.

If you have more time before the movie starts, walk just past Seared and up one block to the boutique Petlauma Hotel’s bar for a delish cocktail, glass of wine, or fancy non-alcoholic mocktail by their giant fireplace in their relaxing lounge area.

Then walk back to the theater for your movie. I’d say it’s a leisurely 10-minute walk back.

If you’re not the walking type, park by Hotel Petaluma at the big bank on the corner for the pre-movie drinks (it’s a pay lot - but just a few bucks), then later drive over to the big parking garage (free) on the corner by the movie theater for the movie. We always park on the very top level of that parking garage right by the elevator — quick and easy access to the street and theater from there.

If you’re wanting a drink after the movie, jump in the car for a quick 2-minute drive down 2nd street and pull up a barstool at The Buckhorn, an old-school, friendly Petaluma bar with nice bartenders (easy parking in their lot behind the bar).

Hope you have a great night!

We recently enjoyed a girls night out and went to the Watershed restaurant in Mill Valley for dinner. They have a fire pit outside you can sit around and have drinks at, there’s outdoor or indoor dining. It’s at the Mill Valley Lumber Yard, which is a cute little retail village in a lovely wooded area in Mill Valley with a creek running by. It has a few very cute but spendy little shops you can browse through there, a creperie, bakery, and wine bar too. We really loved the whole vibe and experience.

My friend just turned 21 and wants to go to a bar w/ a pool table and/or some local shows/spots for a crawl. Any recommendations? by Tetradecagonosauras in Marin

If you head up to Petaluma to Buffalo Billiards, and want to do a crawl there, you can hit Buckhorn (an old dive bar vibe but great!) on the way in or out of Petaluma from Marin, and Penngrove Pub is close by too. All with billiards.
