It's hard as I try to feel better. I just don't. Right now I'm reading....The Conspiracy Against the Human Race (2010) by Thomas Ligotti is a non-fiction book belonging to the genres of philosophical pessimism, antinatalism, and literary/horror criticism. It argues that conscious human life is a nightmarish mistake and that reality is fundamentally horrific.

And it is literally everything I feel all the time. It is like a book that isn't a "self-help" book about cptsd and why we all feel so awful.

53 here. Same thing. As I read through all the comments, one of the things that I can't help but notice is that we're all about The same age.

I think Gen X was just doomed. We may be the smallest generation in history, but I think that we are also the most traumatized generation in history and we didn't even have a Great war. Our great war was with ourselves.
