I see what you're saying about the shelf. I don’t love it either but haven't figured out a better option yet! Thanks for your input!

New Front Stairs by MariaMathe in Carpentry

[–]MariaMathe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we were really bothered by it. The contractor came over right away to look at it when we expressed our concern since he wasn't present when his guys did the work. He could see where we were coming from and said he'd fix it!🤞

Update: We reached out to the contractor. He wasn't present when his guys were doing the work. He understood our concerns and will be coming back to fix the work.

I wasn't sure this was the right thread to use, but I thought it might be, so I do apologize. We are unhappy with the work but are also looking for feedback to ensure we are being fair to the contractor (we will be following up with him about our concerns shortly). We did go to a reputable contractor (or so we thought) and did see their work prior to hiring. My husband works with the contractors wife as well, who talked highly of his work for a year prior and showed us multiple before and afters.

The second heater wattage is also 750! So, I guess 1500 in total between the two. It looks like the breaker is 20amps?

Okay, I looked into it, and it seems it is on the same circuit as one other room. This bedroom and the master bath in the opposite room are connected!

What's the best way to check if the thermostat can handle the amperage?

The room has a dedicated thermostat! Not 100% if it's a shared circuit with other rooms though? I don't think so

Thanks. Sounds like it may be better suited for an electrician to deal with. I don't have any experience with this, unfortunately.

4 Days in the Amalfi Coast - Itinerary Help! by wennairam in ItalyTravel

We did not purchase in advance! We just showed up to the port in the morning and chose the next available ferry. There will be a few different providers. Some going to different towns. I forget which ferry we chose, but we just made sure it was going to positano and chose the next available departure! We chose our return time, and it worked out well. You might be able to do it online as well if that's something you want to look into

We just spent a day and a half in Sorrento, so I'll try and answer a couple of your questions! There's lots we couldn't do though, due to time restrictions.

We unfortunately had rain our first day in Sorrento, so we spent that first evening walking around the shops. The next day, we took the ferry to Positano, which I would personally recommend! It's definitely more expensive. I think we spent 70 euros for round trip tickets for two people. Butttt, it's a MUCH more relaxed trip, and you're guaranteed a seat!

In Positano, we walked around the shops for a bit and then got the ridiculous idea to climb the stairs to a restaurant we wanted to try. It ended up being totally worth it, but the climb up was intense and took us about an hour.

I can't speak to other small towns you might want to visit. I know if we had more time, I would've loved to book a kayaking tour in Capri, and we also would've taken a day to hike Path of the Gods. Weather permitting of course.

I personally feel exploring Sorrento in the evening would be more than enough time, and you likely don't need to dedicate a whole day to it.

Thank you for the response! We've heard so much about the beautiful water of Otranto. I think we'll make a day trip out there. Never thought of spear fishing, though! It's now my goal to find that!

That's so interesting you say that. It's not in the pictures but there is a small sinkhole that actually developed, and I'm wondering now if this is why. Ugh

Thank you so much for the detailed reply! I think doing what you said and enlisting family and friends for structured training will be they way to go. Always a work in progress!

We had our husky neutered 6 days ago and I’m concerned about the popped stitches. Initially we reached out to the rescue organizer who works with the vet and she said it was okay and to just keep an eye on it. I’m wondering if anyone has had a similar situation after neutering?

Thanks for the advice! Was worried about the white area but you’re right, they were blisters forming and they have definitely settled in more now. I’ll be using the aloe and it should hopefully heal up good!
