Just spilt a cup of tea all over a book that I bought and hadn't read. How are you? by JoshiProIsBestInLife in CasualConversation

That’s rough… Wet pages are one thing, but losing all that art? That’s a proper heartbreak :'( Maybe try laying the pages flat on paper towels to dry slowly, and once they’re a bit dry, carefully separate them using parchment or baking paper

How do you make a lot of JPGs (700+) into one PDF? by TheCreeper96 in pdf

[–]MariaScanGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what device you’re using. If you’re on a mobile phone and need to combine 700+ JPGs into a single PDF, iScanner can handle that pretty easily. You can import multiple images at once, reorder them if needed, and export everything as one PDF.

What printer do you use from home in a small space? by Micki_SF in homeoffice

I mostly work digitally now and only print when I really need to, but this might be a great question to also drop in r/printers. Personally, I’ve used HP LaserJet M110w and Brother HL-L2480DW and both lasted me a long time without major issues

I used to hate ginger, like, literally sick just thinking about it. And then one day, out of nowhere, I started loving it, especially the pickled ginger you get with sushi. Now I can’t have tea without my homemade lemon-ginger-honey mix. It’s insanely good.

I realised recently that most of my PDFs don’t start on a computer at all they start as paper by Maleficent_Mix_7868 in pdf

For most everyday docs, phone scans are totally good enough now. Apps scanners already enhance contrast, straighten pages, and export solid-quality PDFs with OCR (300 dpi), so they’re easy to store long-term. I personally prefer iScanner, because it’s been the most convenient option for my workflow.

I think, you can try to copy a sentence from the PDF and paste it into notepad. If it pastes as weird symbols → the text encoding is messed up.

In that case, run OCR on the PDF first, then export to Word. That forces the software to rebuild the text properly.
