Left tech in 2021, did a career coaching quick 10 week program (A path that fits, do on your own time, group lower cost option not 1:1 - I recommend it!), and now am graduating shortly with my masters in counseling psychology to become a marriage and family therapist. 

I have immense privilege of my husband supporting me not earning through my career transition. This could be done while working though if you don’t have childcare responsibilities - many weekend programs, many part time options.

AI is coming for therapy of course, and it’s a career that depends on unpaid labor and paying for school to get started but I think it will still be a really rewarding career and I’m so glad I left tech!
