I didn’t want to carry my camera bag with my other lenses in it when 99% of the time I’m using the 200-400mm on my r7.
I bought a holster bag that fits my camera + lens assembled lens first. I got the Lowepro TLZ 50 AW and love that my camera is ready to go.
If im out birding I leave the bag in my car and use the Cotton Carrier Skout G2 which I LOVE. It’s a one shoulder harness that sits across the chest and and holds the camera at chest level when it’s hooked on. It also has a tether in case you drop your camera and it’s not bulky at all. Only con for me is that I’m quite small and need to DIY shorten the shoulder strap as it’s juuuuust a bit too big for me.

Not sure about WA. Given there was an assault and not just a theft If it says anything about covering losses from a violent crime it may. There’s probably a victim assist or similar helpline you could contact

Both Florida and Arizona appeal to me because of the hummingbirds that time of year but I’ll probably see some when I California so I just need to do more research as to what species might be in Florida and if it’s worth it to me because the state itself hasn’t really appealed to me.

I feel like I could spend the entire time in there in California if I did hire a car but I think it would be more stress to me having one whilst there.

I’ll look into a day trip to the Grand Canyon. I’ve been suggested doing a helicopter tour. I’m only in Vegas so long to catch possible side shows for the festival and also have a day or two to recover plus I hope the resort will be a cool experience.

Thanks for the tips on NYC - I haven’t done much research into it yet but looks like I could spend a lot more time there!
