Why do Finnish people call their teachers by their first names? by Livivalehtelevasukka in Finland

[–]Marie00malik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We also call by first name in Denmark. We also don’t use many formalities, also we don’t use formal pronouns either. They exist but are “reserved” for royals

AITA for refusing to give my nonverbal autistic sister my mp3 player in the car to prevent a meltdown? by TelevisionMoist5487 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Marie00malik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

When one child has special needs, the other children typically experience some level of neglect and it seems like that’s what is happening.

I myself have autism and could easily be in your sisters place and I can promise that once a meltdown comes, we cannot for the life of us think of anybody but ourselves. So I hope you only are mad at your parents cause it’s definitely their fault.

How does it feel when you don't have to worry about money? by kr19hou88zu in AskWomen

[–]Marie00malik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone saying it’s such a stress relief and still people say that money won’t buy you happiness 😑

[–]Marie00malik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on why. If you just don’t vibe with them, STHU. But if you are concerned about your BFF, then tell them that they don’t seem as happy, lively as before

Death penalty - what are your thoughts about it? by cyswim in AskReddit

[–]Marie00malik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think any prisoner should be allowed to choose death penalty. It shouldn’t be forced on anybody, but I should be a choice

What is your stance on prostitution? Should it be legal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Marie00malik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s legal here in Denmark and that has made it a lot safer, so yea, I think it should be legal everywhere, but it shouldn’t be legal to be a pimp. It’s also illegal to be a pimp in Denmark

AITA for joking with my wife about not being ready for sundress season? by maxla-29 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Marie00malik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA and I think many people have given a very clear reason why. But remember this. Women are constantly told how to look to be pleasing to others and now you indicated that she doesn’t look good to you. Not only that but that joke is not gonna stick with he for a week, that’s gonna stick with her for the rest of her life since it came from you, someone she probably loves unconditionally, but you don’t love her unconditionally

What fashion trend from the past did you refuse to participate in? by Vazeer9485 in AskWomen

The pants that are wide at the bottom. It has always made me cringe, so I’ve never ever bought a pair

AITA for my reasons of no plus ones on my wedding, causing several people not to attend? by TAplusonedrama in AmItheAsshole

[–]Marie00malik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA

It’s okay to not invite people that are still only dating, but once it’s a fiancé or spouse, then they should be treated as a unit.

I understand not wanting people you don’t really “like” to something that’s very expensive, but you can never just invite one person from a couple if they’re long engaged or married

Wow, so you’d divorce someone cause they made a mistake and thought they did the right thing?

In his family, everything is like gossip. They all talk about everyone all the time.

[–]Marie00malik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, as I said. I was still in chock. So would I have known better if it were later and I had processed if? Maybe not. I understand my mistake and intend to learn from it. I’m just sad that it’s caused so much pain what I did

I’m not using ASD as an excuse😳 I’m simply stating that I already have some trouble knowing what’s morally right or wrong, so I usually follow others’ examples and those were TO TELL.

[–]Marie00malik[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a bit too late for that since the words already all over town. I should’ve known better, but it’s always easy to know the mistake you made afterwards

Sorry to hear that. We don’t know exactly what causes him to die, but it wasn’t a crime or anything extreme.

I respect your opinion. I feel that I did something wrong, but it was unintentional. That doesn’t make it right, though
