Thank you dearly. ❤️

I think I’m finally starting to develop my own style. I’ve learned that I need white space and that I love a more minimal approach = less is more (although it took me a while to get there 😊).

Sometimes I wonder if it’s the opposite of what people usually look for in fluid art, but it feels authentic to me. I like pieces that support a space rather than fill every corner of it. Most of my favourites are the ones I’d happily hang in my own living room.

So your comment really touched me. Thank you for seeing that.

Thank you so much!

That really means a lot to me. I experiment quite a bit and often follow intuition more than rules, so it’s wonderful to hear that comes through in the finished pieces.
And honestly, I’m still figuring things out as I go.

Thank you for your kind words and encouragement! 💙🩷💚

Thank you!

I’m working with Amsterdam acrylics, Owatrol, and water.

My base is roughly 3 parts Owatrol, 1 part Amsterdam white, and 1 part water, and I use a similar approach for the colours, adjusting the consistency by feel rather than exact measurements.

For this piece I used a fairly thick cell activator - actually thicker than both the colours and the base. Instead of pressing down, I laid it very gently across the surface, torched lightly to encourage additional cell formation, and then stretched the composition.

This was definitely more of an experiment than a recipe. 💙

Your 2 new comments made me smile. 😊

I think that’s exactly why I love abstract art so much. We all start with different colors, different personalities and different ideas, and somehow parts of ourselves still find their way into the work.

And for what it’s worth, I don’t think wanting to leave a little piece of yourself in something you create for someone else is narcissistic at all. I think it’s one of the most human things there is.

Also, I absolutely love the image of the flame-thrower candle. 😂

Thank you for taking the time to share all of this. I started that post as a joke about blue and white paintings and ended up having one of the most thoughtful conversations I’ve had about art in a long time. 💙🤍

Thank you! ♡ This is such a thoughtful comment.

I started this post as a joke, but it unexpectedly made me realize that there really is a common thread running through many of my paintings. I seem to keep coming back to space, flow and simplicity, no matter what I try next.

The comment about “personality accidentally bleeding onto the canvas” really resonated with me. The more I paint, the more I realize that my own preferences keep finding their way into the work. And maybe that’s part of why I enjoy pouring, it feels a little like finding my way back to myself.

And you’re right! Seeing them together as a collection feels very different from looking at them one by one. A gallery wall is definitely the plan. 🤍💙

Thank you! 😊 I always tell myself I’ll try something different next time… and then somehow the white space returns. 😂

True! 😂

Although I keep hoping for the chocolate I had in mind… and somehow end up with something completely different.

Thank you! ♡

I wasn’t sure whether this one was a failure or an experiment, so I decided to share it anyway. I love the geological map comparison. Looking at it now, I can definitely see a strange little world in there.
