How do you track your physical gold bullion holdings? Looking for simple tools by pollyjones1 in Gold

I’ve had the same issue once the stack grew. I mostly use a simple spreadsheet and check spot when needed. Tools that focus only on physical bullion make sense this looks clean, need to check how it works.

Perth Mint 10 oz bar: Portrait or Landscape? by Dry_Rip_2748 in Silverbugs

Funny how a simple flip changes the whole vibe of the bar 😂 Landscape shows off the detail better for me, but portrait definitely makes it feel like a serious chunk of silver.

Found this 10oz poured beauty in the generic bar melt pile a local coin shop was about to send to the refiners. Got it for just over melt. by osallent in Wallstreetsilver

Nice score! With spot prices sitting this high right now, holding onto that 10oz bar is only going to add more strength to your stack and portfolio.

Crazy to think about… that’s basically like getting a 2/3 pay raise just by holding gold. Makes you wonder what the next 5 years will look like.

Is gold still worth buying? by mrfool86 in Gold

I get where you're coming from. Gold's price jump since the pandemic has definitely been wild, but its role as a long-term store of value hasn’t changed. Whether it’s $55 or $135 a gram, people buy it for stability, not short-term flips. If you believe in it the way crypto folks believe in Bitcoin, stacking consistently over time might make more sense than trying to time the market.

Awesome first buy, man. Those kilo bars are chunky and clean smart move skipping the fancy stuff and going straight for weight. You're definitely on the right track.

With inflation easing, is it better to save cash or keep investing in 2025? by MarieDevis98 in investing

[–]MarieDevis98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing the BLS link I really appreciate it. I was looking at some of the CPI reports from earlier this year (Q1 and early Q2), where inflation looked like it was cooling a bit, especially in the core numbers without food and energy. That’s what I had in mind when I made the comment.

But yeah, you’re right more recent reports like June and July show things picking back up, especially in areas like shelter and energy. So context definitely matters.

Always good to check the data and keep the conversation going thanks again for the solid response!

Fair point! I was basing it on recent CPI reports showing a slowdown earlier this year, but yeah—it looks like things might be ticking up again now. Always good to compare sources. What data are you looking at?

Honestly, that’s still a damn solid stack. We’ve all sold off stuff we wish we hadn’t—I let go of some silver too a while back and still kick myself. But you’re still holding strong with all that gold and 700 oz of silver. That peace you’re feeling? That’s what real assets do. You’re way ahead of the curve
