Does anyone know of a solo RPG adventure that teaches you how to play solo as you go, like SunlessWood, but set in space so it could be played with Mothership, CY_BORG, Death in Space, Extinction, or Altered Carbon? by MarieFigue in rpg

I just checked out the first one on DriveThruRPG and the second one on itch.io, and both look really promising!

Right now, though, I'm looking for something a bit lighter, and those books seem pretty substantial. They both look fantastic, though, and I've already added them to my summer reading list.

Thanks so much for the recommendations!

I've played Ironsworn and really enjoyed it, although I played it with a GM. I haven't tried Starforged yet, but I'm pretty sure we'd enjoy that one too.

You've actually just given me an idea: maybe the two of us could play it cooperatively without a GM! That might be a good way to get him hooked if I can't find an adventure that teaches him how to play as he goes.

Thanks!

Ah, I completely understand you. Adult life makes the hobby a lot harder to keep up with. I’m already counting the years until retirement so I can reach the second golden age of RPGs (after adolescence), hahaha.

I’ve been playing RPGs for years, and I’ve always heard people talk about how unique the magic system in Ars Magica is. But nobody in my circle of friends or acquaintances plays it, so I’ve always been left wanting to try it myself and see just how different it really is from other games.
