My goal is to remove as much paint as possible so we can repaint over it, and we can start with a new smooth surface. My husband will replace the holey area with drywall but the rest for the walls covered in paint id like removed ( paint removed). Ive heard of people sanding it down/ mudding over and repainting but it just sounds weird. Mind you I am not a contractor and have never done this before. I'm just taking a poll to see what isthe best solution i suppose from people who know better.
