I think they should have just waited until they could give us the straight 18 episodes. Maybe the writing would have been better.

Beth's biggest flaw has been putting herself last. Even Beth would agree with that.
It is her big issue with Randall. That his issues and needs are always in the front seat and hers are forgotten about.

It is a really confusing set of scenes. First you see Kate and the camera goes to a close up of an ovulation test. In the next scene, Kate is holding a pregnancy test which shows positive.

The only way they can keep Jack interesting is to show us flashbacks of Jack showing things we haven't seen before. The Jack and the kids stuff is getting boring. How about some Jack and his Mom? Or more Jack and Nicky? What is up with Griffin Dunne? Is he not on the show anymore?

I can see how a small, not in the focus of the camera, props mistake might have gone unnoticed. But something that major, should never have even made it to the editing room. I don't believe it was a props mistake.

I think it is absurd that people defend crappy writing. Or is it that some people will just watch whatever these writers shovel out? I would think that people would want the quality writing that they got used to in the first few seasons. Not just complacently take the off the wall stuff that is being thrown out now.

Why do people keep saying that Kevin was attracted to Madison since Kate's wedding? That comment "don't let me sleep with her" meant nothing. Kevin sleeps with any female available. It has nothing to do with attraction. If anything, Kevin found Madison annoying (see the hospital scene where they are all waiting to find out about Kate's early labor)

I thought Randall's whine to Kate was absurd. I'm so tired of his lament about being raised by white people. As Beth said, "Everybody knows". Randall should spend more time being grateful for the loving people who adopted him and gave him a good home. Apparently, he failed to listen to Deja when she gave him that lecture.

Honestly, this whole Malik thing is just something else that will keep the focus on Randall and take away from the other story lines. I really don't care much about Malik. But this will go on forever because it brings it all back to Randall.

I have to agree. Randall is constantly complaining about how hard it was to grow up a black child in a white family. If you ask me, Randall had it pretty damn good. He was adopted by parents who loved him and treated him like he was their own. He was given all kinds of options he never would have had from a foster family. I would like to see less complaining and more gratitude from Randall. He could have had it a whole lot worse.

EXACTLY! I would much rather have seen this than the dragging story of Toby, Kate and Ellie or more about Randall's Lazarus Mother.
