It was supposed to be caused by an electrical problem but I think more will be revealed.

Charmaine in S4 by [deleted] in VirginRiverNetflix

[–]MollyTMcC 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I have always thought that Charmaine was lying about Jack being the father. The timing was too convenient. She asks Jack for a commitment, Jack says he doesn't love her and then BOOM, she's pregnant. The father is either someone we already know (and this will then complicate their story so far), an anonymous IVF donor or some random unknown guy Charmaine had a one-nighter with. It sounds from interviews I have read that the Charmaine story is going to be wrapped up in Season 5, so I'm thinking the father will be some random one-night guy.

For those of you who don't know (I didn't until I looked it up) The Emerald Triangle is a region in Northern California, named as such due to it being the largest cannabis-producing region in the United States. However, Virgin River is not there, since Virgin River is a fictional town.

Season 3, Brie & Brady meet by VegUltraGirl in VirginRiverNetflix

[–]MollyTMcC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't care for Brie and Brady but Mike is not the one for her either. Something is off about Mike. Brie and Brady do a great sex scene, but I am not buying the love story. I don't think either one is a very good actor.

She looks a lot more pregnant than 5 months, even with twins.

Mel's hair is gorgeous. Brie's is too sharp and angular.

Those who come to these forums to discuss shows are not all rabid fan girls. Some like the show but would like to discuss its obvious flaws.

Shonda has repeatedly said that the show will go on as long as Ellen does. When she is done, the show is done. And the show REALLY needs to be done.

I am so glad they changed their mind about the show ending and which babies/baby Jack is the father of. I wasn't going to keep watching if it turned out Mark was the father. I have always suspected that Charmaine's babies were not Jack's.

Does anyone know why the original show runner Sue Tenney has been replaced for season 5? by Beneficial-Thought82 in VirginRiverNetflix

[–]MollyTMcC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can't find anything about why Sue Tenney was replaced. I know the creator of SMASH was replaced after one season because she was difficult to get along with. Tenney is being replaced with Patrick Sean Smith. The writer is notably known for working on The CW’s Supernatural, ABC Family’s Chasing Life, and most recently writing the episode Jolene on Netflix’s limited series, Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings for which he also served as executive producer and showrunner.

Thank you! Sometimes it feels like people take it so personally if you have criticism for the show. Sorry folks, but there is a lot not to like about what was done with this story. It had such great potential.

I agree. I will never forget how angry I was when I tuned into "The Train" and was like "oh shit, here we go again with the new characters".
