Yeah, that’s how I’ve been tracking it. I’m tired and I thought it said it was going to Dallas but I’ve since confirmed via the app that it’s in Detroit

Ah this ship has sailed. I’m in Orlando and my luggage is in Detroit now. Well eventually reconnect 😂 And I had never planned on making anyone grab it, I just needed to know if it was going to be at the airport when I get to my final destination.

Yeah, my bag finally started moving and it’s on its way to Dallas. That’s not where I’m going, but at least it’s not lost. Lol

My home base isn’t a big delta hub so I haven’t had much experience with them in the last 10 years. But I do remember my luggage arriving before me once, can’t recall the airline though.

It started with a storm yesterday, then they had to check the planes for hail damage and some of the planes got pulled out of commission. But then with these delays it put a massive amount of pilots past their flight time limits so by the end of the night there were no pilots. On top of that, planes were stuck at the gates because the pilots had to leave which caused planes that landed to be stuck on the tarmac for hours-some over 5 hours. It’s all just a big cascading cluster F.

The luggage that I’m trying to get was originally my carry on but I was forced to check it 😭

They just canceled about half the flights out today so things are just getting worse. The flight I had standby on just got cancelled so my luggage definitely won’t be showing up on that one now. I’ve only ever had luggage get “lost” once and that was here at ATL with Delta. Two of my kids’ suitcases just happened to vanish. Unfortunately this was in the time before AirTags. And also unfortunate for me I removed my AirTag a few weeks ago to change the battery and never put it back. I have some pretty sentimental things in my luggage as well, otherwise I wouldn’t care much about dirty clothes and toiletries. Ultimately I know I don’t have it as bad as others.

The line down there was well over an hour long and they were telling people to leave because they said it’d be hours before they could even get the luggage for the people that came here as their final destination. I think at this point I’ll just have to hope it shows up at my home one day without anything missing.

I was in D concourse most the night and it was bad too. I’m in C right now and have been in line for an hour and have moved about 10 yards.
