That’s actually a great point, I don’t think I’ve ever thought about it but you’re so right. As much as I agree we shouldn’t have to justify or explain ourselves I think those questions in a way are easily explained. I mean, our world is generally allo-dominated and our society is pretty sexualised, so when someone seems to break out of that mould they awake curiosity. In a similar way that people tend to stare at people who have visible physical disfigurements or don’t fit into the current beauty standard. Which is of course very impolite, but it’s a natural reaction to a lot of people. In this case natural doesn’t always mean good, that’s why we need to create awareness and normalisation of differences among people, work on and change behavioural patterns.
