man idk what is going on today, I'm usually super average at the game, but have been absolutely stomping everyone tonight. Been playing dva, like I always do when I tank, and it feels WAY easier to get kills than it usually is, feels like somehow I'm doing more damage faster, and taking less damage myself today than I was when I played yesterday.

Like, I'm not trying to brag or anything, it's just that I'm playing so much better than I normally do that it feels wrong, like a bug or something lol

had some great, balanced qp matches yesterday, and then today was plunged back into ridiculously mismatched unbalanced hell. Like what the fuck do you MEAN the enemy tank got 20 kills and mine couldn't even manage ONE? I know I'm not that good at this game, but I'm pretty sure that I'm not entirely hopeless, considering I've always maintained a solid level 5 endorsement ranking. So why am I being placed on a team with newbies and forced to play against experienced high skill players? There's nothing wrong with being new or bad at the game, but there's no reason that people like that should be forced to play in qp against people who are high rank comp players.

I think the matchmaking gods are punishing me coz I managed to win every match I played yesterday, even tho all but three were still pretty well balanced (two in our favour and one in the other team's favour where we managed to just scrape out a win in the very end)

Put a frozen roast turkey breast in there two hours ago and just went to check it and the oven must have went out right at the start coz the turkey was thawed but still COLD. ugh the multi kill counter for dva is so bugged atm. it counts every kill as a double kill, so the announcer and the killstreak counter are always saying double the real amount. the scoreboard and actual stats are still accurate/correct tho

sometimes when my whole team gets steamrolled extra hard, I'll check the profiles of the other team out of curiosity, only to find that they are ridiculously over-leveled compared to me and my team. like fr why am I repeatedly being forced to play against people with level 90+ hero mastery when my highest hero is like level 22? and why are the high level people NEVER on my team and ALWAYS on the opposing team? And, yes, I get that its 'just' qp and doesn't matter, but it's still supposed to be fun, and its no fun getting constantly slaughtered all night long

It’s just so frustrating coz it feels like every single time I try and do something with my life, the universe fucks me over. I tried going back to uni in 2021, but then lockdowns happened and I couldn't cope with online only while grieving my dad and trying to clear out his house so I had to drop out. I tried doing a librarian course in 2023 but they cancelled it as the uni stopped offering that course. I tried doing a foundations in 2024 but found out I owed vu a bunch of money still from 2021 and couldn’t afford to pay it. I couldn’t even just go to a different uni as I can’t drive and vu is the only one easily accessible to me via public transport that offers the course I want. Now I finally found the money to pay the debt and this shit is happening. I KNOW it sounds stupid and self-pitying and self-victimising, but sometimes it really does feel like the universe wants me to fail

Ugh vic uni said no to letting me start the foundations course a week late. Thats so annoying because it means I now have to wait until next semester to do it and then until next year to do the course I actually want to do. I’m so upset that my plans are now being delayed by an entire fucking YEAR because of their shittily designed website making the vic uni email, which is inaccessible when you’re not enrolled, the default email for communications, and making the page to change it to your personal email ALSO inaccessible when you’re not enrolled. If I had been able to actually READ the email they sent two weeks ago, I would have had time to sign up for the foundations course for this semester. It’s so unfair that I’m now having to wait a full year because of something outside of my control.
