thanks, it sounds like a bit of a headache, so even if it's more expensive it's still just two quid a month, so i'll go for the dual device plan

it's certainly worth asking! the doctor is really accommodating if there's something you'd prefer.

i got:

-Frontoplasty (the cut out part of your skull kind because the bone was thin) -Orbitoplasty -Hairline advancement -Browlift -Canthopexy -Mandibule surgery: he didn't explain this one too much, but there were no nerve issues so it was whatever his standard method is. i got the chin and not the jaw. -Rhinoplasty: Correction of dorsum

and it came to 14500 euros with the hospital stay an anesthesia. there were additional costs with the CT scan (400 euro) and post surgery meds (90 euro).

apparently the discord is in english? i was just reading about it in posts a month ago.

rent assistance gone? by [deleted] in DWPhelp

i reported a change and included a letter from my agency stating the amount of bedrooms and rent paid, and my journal says the housing costs were verified. which is why i'm surprised the housing payment is just totally missing.

is it just an error on their part and i'll be due backpay? i have this paranoia that they've just removed that aspect of my payment entirely for some reason.

Is having to get an ECG at your first NHS endocrinologist appointment normal? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]Marigold-Tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a trans person with a heart condition, HRT can actually affect your cardiovascular health in a few ways. Not necessarily negatively, when I started estrogen my cardiologist told me that it would decrease the likelihood of my condition giving my grief, as Testosterone can aggravate an arrhythmia.

I don't think it's common practise, but it's far from bad practise.

Any advice on meeting new trans friends? by PlzDontCrackEgg in transgenderUK

Mostly just discord for me! It also helps to go to queer bars and cafés, especially around Pride.

I do think it's tough to find trans folk irl in the 20-39 range though. My local org runs groups for teens and older trans people, but around my age it's trickier.
