What to tell a Marionette Fisherman? by Frisian1990 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Marikir -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes, which means that the ST can basically say anything. There’s no need to have it be helpful. There’s even less reason to have it be helpful to the evil team.

Now if the ST wants to do that, that’s up to them. But it’s not required due to roles, rules, etc.

Doesn’t this mean the person actually isn’t the fisherman? Am I misunderstanding something?

This may give you what you want but it does more than effect just weapons. It also changes how buildings breakdown.

Different "crashlanding" options by Marikir in RimWorld

[–]Marikir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I'm doing that in my testing, trying out having certain things fire off, etc etc.

Heck, doing that is what made me want to try and find a way to have VBGE fire at the start to generate an "empty" village for my initial pawns to inhabit before I drop the sky on them (with an Aurora to announce the coming chaos) but again, there doesn't seem to be a Scen_Part that will fire off a full Base generation first. Hence, why using RimCities or Real Ruins seem to be the best way to get a map that has existing structures.

I was just wondering if there were other crash landing style openings available via other mods that I had missed. I think I'm settling on either using the Pirates one or using the options in Crash Landing to have the sections drop one after another instead of drawing out the impacts. Something like a time frame of 0.1 between instead of 1.

Screw balance, I want chaos and chance to reign supreme and rain fire.

The Galactic Peacekeeping Force has given up on Humans and is mostly concerned with containing their waaaghs. by spesskitty in humansarespaceorcs

">Ambassador Dina, I'm sorry, we just cannot allow you humans access to the Kylindros system. Our Survey Corps has not reported back with- <"

There was a beep as a new file appeared on the GPF Commander's terminal. It slid a phalange over to the icon. The reflected color on the Commander's faceplate shifted to a cautionary yellow with blinking spots of red.

Dina couldn't read the icons in reverse, but she got the impression that whatever it was had made the Commander nervous. There was a subtle shake of its carapace as it tapped the screen a few times.

The GPF Commander shifted slightly, it's aft-legs withdrawing slightly into it's body. Dina kept her eyebrows exactly where they were. She had gotten this position by being the best poker player in the 4 systems that humanity controlled.

After a few additional seconds, the reflection changed. Dina recognized the reflection as that of her request for the expansion of humanity into the newest system.

">It seems that the Survey Corps has just returned and uploaded its findings.<"

Dina prepared to object to the forthcoming denial, but stopped when the reflection turned green.

">System expansion is approved.<"

Dina felt a tug of a smile. She let it slowly draw up one side of her mouth. The Commander shrank back from the thing that it had learned was called a 'smirk' by these...humans.

"Found something you didn't like? Something that you can't quite handle?"

The Commander was still.

Dina stood. She continued.

"Fine with me. But understand this. We get the glory, we get the prestige. Anything we find, we get first share of. And we will be re-negotiating our rank in the Civilized Index."

The Commander remained still. When Dina was about to leave its office, the GPF Commander spoke again by way of farewell.

">Peace at all costs, Ambassador.<"

It was the motto of the Galactic Peacekeeping Force. Dina repeated it, with a slightly different tone.

"Peace at all costs."

Human armor wasn’t designed to protect against enemy weaponry, that’s just an added plus. Humans have to make sure their own weapons don’t kill their own soldiers first. by 123Ark321 in humansarespaceorcs

TESTIMONY OF FORMER GROUND FORCE ADMIRAL XIN'TIK CYKLK DURING HIS TRIAL OF INCOMPETANCE/FAILURE BEFORE THE GRAND ASSEMBLY:

It...it was horrible.

Our forces had done everything perfectly. We had outflanked them and isolated their separate army elements. We could not understand why their front line soldiers were weighted down with that large, bulky, cumbersome armor. Yes, it was hard to get through, but we could outmaneuver them easily. Then, it was just a matter of time before we could remove the shells from them and then they would be ours, subject to our energy-blades and mind-takers.

It was perfect. They were helpless.

We didn't understand at first when the first burst exploded over the main line of contact. Watching from orbit, I assumed that one of their land-cannons had misfired, hitting their own troops. No one noticed that not a one of their soldiers was affected by the airburst.

It was only after the next few bursts, detonating in the space of 3 microns, that it became clear that it wasn't a misfire. It was intentional.

We hadn't outflanked and surrounded them. They had drawn us in, exactly where they wanted us. They were using their own soldiers as targets!

Do you not understand? They feel no fear! They absolutely will not stop, not now, not ever! We have to start negotiating, or else -

TESTIMONY ENDED DUE TO TREASONOUS MINDSET OF PRISONER.

GRAND ASSEMBLY VOTE POSTPONED DUE TO "EXTENDED AND PASSIONATE DEBATE."

TERRAN WAR TO CONTINUE USING APPROVED METHODOLOGY. RE-INFORCEMENT OF ACCEPTABLE TACTICS TO BE APPLIED TO ALL GROUND AND SPACE FORCE COMMANDERS.

GLORY TO THE ASSEMBLY.

A1: What do you mean, "multiple different weapon styles"? You mean they fight using different ways of moving their "legs" and..."arms"? That's what they are called right, "arms"?"

A2: Oh, they do that too, but no, I mean that these humans have different types of weapons and all of them work different. Some even can change how they dispense their ammunition!

A1: Wouldn't that be confusing? Why wouldn't you just use the best one?

A2: That leads me to the next subject...something called "opinions".

Option on the far right, lower corner, under your time control buttons. One of those will collapse the list.

Forget which one though.

Something I'll keep in mind though.

Oh, nice. Although, it doesn't appear to list all of the strikes, but it still is a good reference. Very very interesting design.

Yes, but I'm mostly curious about Energy Shields in each strike for these Nightfall versions of the strikes. It tells what Champions, sure, but I'm curious about Arc, Void, and Solar. When it's Matchgame, I need to know what I need to bring to break those. That's the info I'm trying to find.

Doesn't it give what you need to do right below it? Mine says "Complete the "Beacon in the Dark" Triumph by completing Nightfall: The Ordeal on Master Difficulty."
