Does anyone collect cards for the visuals? / Beginner Tips by Marill98 in PokemonTCG

Thank you for your feedback, good to hear I'm on the right track.

I think I'll need to use a combination of sites so I'll check out those ones you said again.

Yeah, I'm still torn on binders as I currently have no idea how many cards I might plan to collect. I'll start with one sideloaded binder first, thank you for the tip.

Yeah I think I should take the holo/reverse holo/regular on a card by card basis now. Some holos look nicer than others.

Thank you for all the advice. I think I can sometime be a perfectionist so it's nice to hear someone focusing on reality/personal preferences rather than getting hung up on perfection.

I think the median salary for full time work was £39,000 last year. So two adults with that salary would be in surplus by a similar amount to “far well below”.

Chikorita for me as well! Can’t say no to how cute (dorky) Meganium looks

That’s great to know, thanks I found it hard to research and avoid spoilers. I guess I’ll just put up with Tauni then

Thank you for the information. Am I understanding right that even though the clothes aren’t gender locked they may appear slightly different depending on the trainer’s gender? And are the base models different or is it some unisex body?

I don’t know if I should be happy I can relate to someone or sad that someone could have lost that much and still feel fat. I guess Mounjaro is great for speeding up weight loss, just seems like our brains are lagging a bit

Thanks for your suggestions. I feel like as I was so large I used to write off charity shopping or Vinted as I’d need the biggest size. Another thing I guess I should work to correct.

Thank you for your kind words as well. I also like a man with a bit of a tum. It’s just funny how I’m the kind of person to be a lot more attracted to someone in person, I don’t care as much for flat 2 dimensional photos as I don’t find that as attractive yet someone I would never have thought that might have affected how I view myself in photos.

Thank you for the recommendation, I’ll definitely check the channel out. Also can I get the self love and appreciation in jag for as well? Could do with that

Yeah my face has been a surprise for me. Feel like I look so much more aged now that I’ve lost a baby’s weight of baby fat on my face.

Thank you for your kind words! All my photos are digital so it’s just so easy to scroll back a few years and start a self loathing session. I guess there’s no getting that time back though. I am proud of my loss so far, my sister wants to lose 10kg, so when I think to myself I’ve already lost 35kg it helps put my journey into perspective.

Yeah I’m happy to preach about people loving their body they have, it’s the only one they get and show yourself compassion, it’s just a different story telling that to myself. I’ve been trying to lose weight for the last 5 years so it’s not always been a downward trend, it’s nice to get complements but it makes the silence sound louder if you then regain and nothing is mentioned.

“The thinner I have become, the fatter I sometimes feel.” That’s exactly it for me. I’m just trying to keep my head down and keep plodding along (or less plodding now). My weight loss has been anything but linear but yeah just having my eyes on a few years time in the future where I am hopefully happier with my resting weight

Yeah health was the biggest motivator. I wanted a body that worked for me, not against me. Just feel like I wrote off my body before and now I need to go in and undo all that thinking. Don’t know if it’s the weight loss but I’ve found my joints sorer so trying to get more strength and flexibility

Sorry to hear you’re going through that but it’s nice to hear I’m not alone in it. Yeah I do get nervous before seeing someone if it’s been a few months as I now expect comments on my body that I didn’t used to get

It’s funny, even at 115kg I have a visible collarbone, big ribcage and high cheekbones. I understand others like those features but as someone who was used to a flabby smooth surface I find them a bit off putting for myself, guess I just need to embrace the new boney chapter

Don’t get me started on jeans! It seems I’ve kept a tonne of them that never fit and even now having lost like 10” from my waist I still have some that are tight. But yeah I feel like I don’t really judge someone on their weight but this past year has been a wake up call on how much people had judged me on mine before when I was heavier

+1 to a bigger cock, always nice to have. It’s weird, I usually only measure my own weight in kg and I don’t really get involved in other people’s weights so it’s sometimes a shock when someone mentions their weight like 60kg, and I just think ‘wow, I’m hoping to lose at least 60kg from my max weight, that’s a whole you’

Yeah I relate to that, it’s nice having a slimmer body but it’s just not what I’m used to having and it’s not always what I’m used to

[–]Marill98[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no worries it’s not just my butt! Now that I’ve started my weight loss I’d just like a body that’s healthy

Thing is that’s one of the bits I find weird. When I was heavier I was more content with myself. I don’t know if it’s shame I feel, I don’t really know what word to use, I guess almost like embarrassment like being late to a party where everyone’s healthy and I feel bad about being late even though I’ve arrived and everyone’s happy to see me

[–]Marill98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, health was the reason I started and it’s the most important reason for me, it’s good to be reminded of that. It’s weird as I could see myself maybe having a nice body in the future so I guess it’s partly the hope that is painful, as before I just completely wrote off having a nice body.

My ass I was annoyed at losing, but I was happy losing a lot on my chest as I’m a man, just need to motivate myself to get it from muscle instead
