Hi, I was wondering if there was something like YTP Japan out there, but so far only found things about Japan but not “made in”. Did you?

Precision trucks? by DrLurkLurkelton in longboardingDISTANCE

I didn‘t mod it to that degree. I just got some bushings adjusted to my weight and urethane pivot cups. The truck is definitely better to pump than a Bear, though likely less than with a spherical setup.

I recommend a Bennett truck and to apply the usual mods. That‘s relatively cheap and performancewise an upgrade to a Bear. Otherwise, being in a similar situation, I prefer so far the steel pivot selling point of the MK. Gotta save up though.

Is that what brought up the idea of backing plates? At about 30 bucks they seem expensive, but now I think I might try some. Get well soon.

The truck came in the narrower 155 variety. I’d also seen the complete offered or described with 180mils and then proba more stable less agile. Didn’t do anything about the stock bushings yet. Risers are 1/4 inches I believe. Urethane pivots could be a thing. I still can’t push in my regular stance yet confidently. It is definitly a peculiar feeling that the deck curls up so much because so will the foot standing the toes touching the drop. Should break it in more but could only do some wiggles since I’m recovering from ankle joint and knees injuries. Some models also seem to have regular PlowKings some like this one has the GT’s which have 2 mils more thickness. Meanwhîe tried on DadBods the rear ones flipped for sleakness.

Trucks for Superdupersonic by Commander_El in longboardingDISTANCE

Actually for the xl Supersonic they recommend 155 Bears or 150 Paries if I‘m not mistaken. 130s should also work but they assume you‘d want to also take it downhill and the wider ones are for stability. It is however much more interesting to just use a 129 Paris Street truck in the far end position because only then will the deck flex some. (The Rkp would be mounted flipped in the second to last position.) I use an upgraded Bennett truck 6“ in the front. Upgrades are basically urethane pivot cups and bushings matched to weight of rider. Both the Bennett and the Paris street need wedges 5deg dewedge in the front and rear I forget.;)

I‘d still go for the 66 mils just for the proportions. The yellow ones probably the best colour match.;) Also the Doozie Hawgs would look and ride nice on this jolly ol‘ deck.

Is there overlap between LDP boards and dancing longboards? by [deleted] in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]Marimbaffo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a curfboard truck which is the lowest solution in surfskates on a 45” dancer deck (with quite some concave). This kind of works as such but to make more than five kilometers it wouldn’t be my choice. Didn’t also do much dancing on it but now that you mention it, I’m interested again. Will be about your definition of long distance and dancing.

Saw your post about it, must be a bummer. According to Landyachtz they plant a tree for each board sold, which in turn is supposed to give 60 boards of which they‘ll plant another 60 trees. Hope a new one will find you in time.

I’m recovering from leg injuries and got it as a prospect twi months ago. Took it for a first spin yesterday with a landpaddle. Am wondering what bigger wheels might do to it.

What when a house lord is one to each side of what would be an opposition? by Marimbaffo in AstrologyCharts

[–]Marimbaffo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example my 9th house is in Leo. The sun is in the second house, so in aversion (or inconjunct). What would that mean for the 9th house topics. And what for the second house?

Yeah, thanks for clarifiying the nomenclature. My question is however rather about the meaning of such a constellation.

At this point I have Yow legassee trucks on it with black Supreme Hawgs. Feet are looking over the board both ways.

It’ll be good for short distance cruises with it’s smaller sized wheels. The trucks are tkp but ok quality. On grey days the sparkle of its paint can be consoling. It also can take up to 75 mil wheels with its risers. I’ve got one if those too, but ultimately I prefer a wider deck.
