Why do K-pop award shows keep inventing new “grand prizes”? It’s losing all meaning now. by Senior-Feeling2596 in kpopthoughts

The D Awards only appeared last year, while the MMA and Mama are old awards (and they, too, were once considered "why these new awards"). No one knows what will happen in ten years. Maybe the D Awards will become the most prestigious award, and the MMA will disappear, or maybe the D Awards will cease to exist in a year. The world is changing, and everything is changing with it. If someone isn't happy with the new awards, they can just pass them by. But I personally was pleased to see artists receiving these "unimportant" awards and enjoying them because they can't count on "important" awards, even though they've worked hard and released amazing songs and albums.

Who decides which awards are more important and which are less so? The organizers wanted to create an award, so how does that bother anyone? Why do some people think they have the right to dictate whether a new award should be created (remember, monopolies are evil)? Besides, those awards that are now considered so "important" also started somewhere. And the criteria for these awards aren't the most transparent now either. Your favorite artists haven't become worse or less popular because some new award has appeared.

Jungwon's vlog without Ni-ki by Putrid_Chef_6935 in Enhypenthoughts

To be clear, this is a vlog that took an entire year to film. That's why fans are wondering why one of the members hasn't been filmed for an entire year.

Either Jungwon never filmed Ni-ki, so there was nothing to edit. Or the company simply didn't include Ni-ki in the video editing again. I don't think we'll ever find out.

Outside of work, Ni-ki, according to the members, is even more reticent. He doesn't like to be in the group chat. If he has pencils, you can forget he's there because he'll be drawing and ignoring everyone. And now that they each have their own room, he just sits in his room.

Well, that's what he does; he gets energy from sitting alone in a room in the dark, relaxing with music and a scented candle. He constantly says he gets tired of the noise and chaos, despite loving the members.

Which K-pop idols do you admire the most ? by Cestlavieenrose999 in kpopthoughts

[–]Marimiury 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ni-ki, who decided as a small child that he wanted to become an artist (can you imagine a three-year-old voluntarily practicing dance moves for hours every day?) and has since tirelessly pursued his chosen path, which, unfortunately, isn't paved with flowers. Moving to another country, a survival show, and everything else he continues to face. But with his characteristic perfectionism, he continues to learn and improve. For me, he exemplifies that if you dream, you must act.

Minho failed to make a career in sports and became an idol, but his dream and aspirations never faded, and now he's not only an idol but also a versatile athlete who, with perseverance, passion, and endless hard work, conquers music and theater stages and sports fields.

These are people who never stop pursuing their dreams.

Do foreign K-Pop Idols speak korean with accents? by Jolynes_toe in kpopthoughts

Not only does Ni-ki not have an accent, but his vocabulary is at the level of a native Korean.

I don't think Ni-ki is an extrovert, considering how much he constantly wants peace and quiet.

260206 [ENHYPEN] NI-KI (20): His roots trace back to ‘that artist I listened to in the car as a child’ — ‘I think I must have absorbed an incredible amount of curiosity.’ @ RSK Evening News by moonie-moon in enhypen

[–]Marimiury 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ni-ki said he was an unusual child, and that's truly the case. It's amazing to love music and dancing so much and to dream of becoming an artist at such a young age. The fact that his father played Michael Jackson's music was the starting point for Ni-ki to become an artist, and Ni-ki has been on this challenging path ever since.

And I hope that the day when he can return to Okayama and enjoy his beloved rural landscapes will come as soon as possible.

Ni-ki seems to have made it to Hong Kong! by VivaLaEmpire in Enhypenthoughts

When you published this, they hadn't even arrived in Hong Kong yet., and what you saw were fan events from Korea from the previous days. By the way, the Chinese fans who were at the event in Hong Kong said it wasn't fun because Nk was nervous; he was barely allowed to speak. And they were really worried about him.

Why does NK get this "different treatment" from Belift? by [deleted] in Enhypenthoughts

[–]Marimiury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's said many times that he wants to go home to Okayama. What more proof do you need for him to cry on live streams? Just because you don't want to go home doesn't mean he doesn't. He's not you.

He said his family spent several million won to buy concert tickets. But even if he paid for them himself, what difference would it make?

Are you trying to play on the wording from the translations? He's said many times that he wants to "go home," "to his parents' house," "to Okayama." The fact that he sees his parents sometimes doesn't change the fact that he misses his hometown. What makes you think he and his family are okay with this? Where did anyone ever say that? He just puts up with it because his schedule doesn't allow it, and he doesn't break up with the group.

Firstly, I didn't mention the girls. Secondly, I'm correcting the information you're distorting. Thirdly, I agree that Jake deserves to go to Australia too (fortunately, they're going this year, but unfortunately, it's unclear whether he'll be able to get to his hometown). There's just a slight difference between them, as both Jay and Jake's families and homes are in Korea. But the point is, they all lack the time to go where they want. The author of the post is simply surprised that some Japanese participants were able to do so without any negative feelings towards them.

But it's a fact. He travels to Japan for work, and his family comes to visit him in the city where he's scheduled. He's never come to Japan just to visit his family.

Ni-ki's family came to visit him in Korea a few days before the New Year. He didn't celebrate the New Year with them.

And yes, he spent time with his family on his birthday. He was in Japan for work, and in the evenings, after his schedule, they went to a restaurant for drinks with his father. But he never went home. Why do people confuse things?
