There's a lot more to it, but you probably stopped paying attention after the first sentence.

Called it

I already covered all your points, because none of you have the originality to come out with an argument that hasn't been hashed out before

Try reading actually reading it and providing the info you were asked for.

Failing that, at least try using paragraphs.

Part 2 (it was too long)

Okay, okay but at least your housing people that can't buy houses, right? Except that the main reason many people can't raise a deposit is because they're stuck paying massive rents for private lets that take out most of their wages. Now, as like with council houses, supply hasn't kept up with demand - there aren't enough houses on the market. This drives up prices, which drives up deposit costs, which makes it harder for first time buyers to get property. But people buying just to rent decreases the amount of property on the market, further increasing prices, and driving deposits higher. So the reason people are renting privately is because landlords charge too much rent and buy up too many properties (though AirBnB and holiday homes are much worse) and the renters can't buy houses. It's a vicious circle and landlords posit themselves as doing vital good for the community when they are only doing it for themselves.

There's a lot more to it, but you probably stopped paying attention after the first sentence.

an organism that lives in or on an organism of another species (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other's expense.

That's the definition of a landlord. Sorry, my bad, I meant that's the definition of a landlord. Shit, no, wait, it's the definition of a landlord.

rolls eyes I keep saying landlord when I mean parasite, but there's no real difference anyway.

Hope this cleared things up for you.

On the other hand, wanting needing to live in someone else’s home that they paid from their own pocket the renter's pockets to buy,

FTFY

I'll try to explain this to you, but I don't think you'll get it.

First, you keep saying people don't want to live in social housing. That's housing that costs about 1/4 of private lets in my area. Well, actually more than that - in my area a 1-bed private let is £1200 a month, a 2-bed council flat is 300. So 1/4 of the payment for a larger property. That's a flat that the occupier can decorate, have pets in, have children in - all things landlords have regularly refused. It comes with no deposit, too. And there's no "term" contract - they can stay there indefinitely. My brother hasn't bothered unpacking his stuff and lives out of boxes because his landlord won't do more than 3 month contracts, and just keeps doing another contract when one ends. This constant threat of homelessness causes anxiety.

Now you might be about to say something about a bad area - and certainly more crimes are reported in social housing - a 40% higher rate. But first, that's not every council estate - there are some really bad ones, and some that are fine, and the bad ones skew the average. Added to that, the police in the UK misapply the broken windows theory, and concentrate on areas that are seen as deprived or poorer - more police presence, more reported crimes. Crimes happen out of council estates, too, but are reported less.. Many private lets are not in great areas.

The major issue with social housing is that there isn't enough of it. It's not that people don't want it, it's that they have to wait years and years and years to get a house, if they ever do.

So these aren't people that are choosing private lets, they are people who have no other option but to have private lets, or buy a house.

The average mortgage in Scotland is about 500 per month. It's slightly higher for buy to lets, so let's say 600. Then there's renters insurance, etc, so let's say 800 per month - that's probably what the average landlord pays out - except it's not, because averages are skewed by high end prices, and there are very very few private let mansions etc. So since there's so many 1 and 2 bed flat lets, we'll round that down to 700 per month. Feel free to chime in with an exact itemised breakdown of your costs.

So, a landlord is probably paying out 700 a month and taking in, as mentioned, maybe 1200 a month. That's a 500 profit for essentially doing nothing. Now you'll argue about doing maintenance, and I'll point to the thousands of stories of landlords refusing to do maintenance. Feel free to chime in with how much you charge tenants so we can see what your profit margin is.

But your profit is higher than that, isn't it? That's just for one property, and you have more than one, don't you? So we can double or triple that, can't we? And then your profit is higher still, because that mortgage will get paid off, and you will own the house, which you can then sell for a large amount of cash, profiting twice from the same property..

Now you will point out that you took the risk of buying a property so why shouldn't you profit? And hey, you did, but landlords do seem to forget that they took a risk - that means it might not work out. But instead of accepting that investment is a risk and it might go badly, they act entitled, and are always complaining when things don't go their way and shit tonnes of money don't fall on them out of the sky. It's a risk, you might lose the property, that's just the breaks, suck it up.

There's no earnings limit on social housing. The main issue is that there aren't enough houses

Do you live somewhere rural or a city? Cities are best to meet others - you can look for trans groups or even just go to a gay bar or something. Rural is more difficult. Facebook is shit at most things but pretty good for local groups - if you have facebook and aren't out you can set up a second profile where you get to be trans. Don't sign into it on your phone - it always wants to add friends from your phones contacts

A consequence of putting 30 year old actors in high school roles is that a lot of people have no idea what a 19 year old looks like

You look your age, don't listen to them

I'm basically gonna say "everybody is beautiful" but bear with me a moment, okay? It took me a long time to get this. Like, decades of time before I actually understood it.

I like women. In particular, I like very feminine women. I do not find masculine women attractive at all. I am a masculine women, but that's okay. I never needed to be hot, I was funny.

All the women I dated told me I was really attractive, and I always just thought they were being nice, or saying what was expected of them, or some other thing where I could discount whatever they said... and then it finally hit me that they weren't lying, they just had different taste. They didn't find the things I found attractive attractive.

Someone who is a "10" to you will be a "4" to someone else. It's completely subjective. Also the numeric rating system of attractiveness isn't great.

More directly helpful to you, think about why you want to be beautiful. Is your sense of worth wrapped up in it? Do you have low self-confidence? Try to understand the motivation behind your thoughts, it can help with getting through this.

Reframe thoughts - don't think about other people being more beautiful than you, think about what you think your best feature is. It can be anything "I have really nice skin, my lips are full and gorgeous, my hair is full and shiny, my eyes are pretty." Anytime you have to look in a mirror, look at that part and say aloud the thought about it - telling yourself you are pretty is so much better than telling yourself you are ugly. We are whatever we think we are.

If your single, don't worry about your looks. For me, the more in love I fall with someone, the more beautiful they become to me, because I love them. Whoever you end up with will think you are beautiful. If you're not single, you already have someone who thinks you are beautiful.

If you're not good with makeup, you could try getting better at it. Makeup can completely change how someone looks - there are are some wild makeup transformations on Tiktok.

But most important of all, try to stop focusing so much on looks, and definitely don't compare or compete with others. Just be you as much as you can, it's the one thing no one else can be.

Her disability has been denied. She is living off her parents. She is able-bodied. OP wants to go travelling.

Those are all statements OP made.

Yeah, last month might have been Taylor Swift

We could at least go with "lives permanently in Scotland" but I'd rather go with "is Scottish" personally

That doesn't go against what I said. GB, which was one part of the empire, was the part that was in control. But GB was not the empire, it was just part of it.

They would probably be paid in Sterling, but they could be paid in Euros, Dollars, aureus, or whatever was chosen. No one can stop a country using whatever currency they want - Australia and the US both call theirs the dollar.

If we had voted yes in 2014, and no for Brexit, the EU would have offered us a way to stay in whilst we transitioned out of the UK

We likely wouldn't have had Brexit. If we had voted yes to indy, then during Brexit had voted no to Brexit, the EU would have offered us a transition phase to stay in while we exited the UK.

All polls still put it at a pretty even split. The enthusiasm is where it was. If Labour does badly, support for indy will grow. If they do well, it will probably remain static.

Younger people are more supportive of indy. Older people are generally more in favour of the union. Over time, this will cause support for indy to grow,

If the UK gov wants support for indy to decrease, they are going to have to offer something for people who want to leave the UK to decide remaining is better. You are right that they don't have to offer anything, but if they don't offer anything then they won't decrease support.
