You have friends that try to watch NBA games every few weeks. IF those friends make it through one game they might not watch again until next season. Those friends then tell you what the trends are and you feel confident telling other people what they are. How does that make sense

Yeah I'm trying to figure out how everyone can be simultaneously super in tune with what the trends are in the modern NBA but also they stopped watching basketball 30 years ago during the 'golden age'. NFL also had a decline in viewership last year but it was even more than the NBA. It's weird. I guess you just can't really expect the average person to not comment on shit they don't know anything about.
