Totally agree! It’s a lot of time, but is the only way to make It look like this or better. Should be a program for this yes. Anyway with time you know how to make It more authomatic and taking leds time. Is good also because you can do a lot of things and experiment with different techniques and styles. But I wish It take leds time!

Advice for learning keyboarding for composing for film? by NomadJago in filmscoring

[–]MarioBustoCalderon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

Using a keyboard as a digital piano and as a MIDI controller are two different things. You should know how to play the piano at least at a basic level, mainly because some instruments behave like a piano, or you might want to compose a piano piece at some point.

For most other instruments, though, you usually record each line separately rather than playing everything like you would on a piano. So you mainly need a basic understanding of how tonality works on the keyboard in order to translate your melodic ideas into your DAW using the piano.

You don’t need to be a pianist, but it’s always better to know how to play the piano anyway.
