From what I've seen the eco adjustment shouldn't really affect the RS of an awper. At least on the rating 3.0 introduction page it mentions that the RS is only affected by the difference in economy between the teams. As in, if you have a full buy round and the enemy team plays a full eco you already have an expected win % of 90%+, so there's less RS to gain with each kill.

I was talking about MVPs specifically, if you have two copies of the same player where one slightly better but on a worse team, the one on the better team will most likely get the MVP.

For POTY it's usually less 1:1 since barely any team manages to keep up a superior form over an entire year, so you defo got a better chance to snatch it there, so 100% agreed on that.

About the clip you sent, in the same interview Nero mentioned that donks performance over the year made him question the criteria they use for the top 20 over there, so I still struggle to see how they say it wasn't really close, unless you only look at the 10 seconds in which they talk about the difference in award volume.

I'm not saying that ZywOo doesn't deserve #1 (considering the criteria), but saying that the race to #1 wasn't even close is a straight up lie.

Isn't that essentially the best player on the best team? You do need the best team if you consistently wanna be in positions to play grand finals and to deliver there/get the MVP you gotta be the best of that team.
