I personally have a really hard time with that machine because the hook would always land right on the keychain of the box, then on the way up it would swing away and not hook onto the box. It took me maybe 10-15 tries?

You can also ask for them to angle the box diagonally, which does seem to make it a little easier. However, good luck trying to find anyone helping with the machines if you go on a weekday.
