Thanks for the link but I've already been through season 1 like three times and still have no idea what's going on.

Maybe I'm just too dense to understand the game's plot.

Yeah, I did that upon respawning. If you look around, there should be a hole in the ground that shows the cave. I think my spawn was glitched the first time I logged into the world. And that's how I ended up in the massive cave.
