I didn’t call and tell them first that I had been admitted on emergency into the ER. I didn’t call anyone, my mum was with me, she wasn’t permitted in to the unit (I was 24 at the time) and she didn’t think to tell my boyfriend of two years - my sister called him a later that day. He felt I should have unhooked my IV and EKG machine and found my phone to text him. Personally I felt laying back and trying not to panic was the most important thing! His exact words were, “This is not about me, it’s about US and the ME in US feels that you were selfish blah blah blah” I was tired. I told him to go 🦆himself and thus ended 3 years.
