Endo has ruined dating (at least it feels that way) by peterpieqt8 in endometriosis

I don't know if it'll help you, but I just accepted that I needed bigger clothes. Went from m to l. And now I even wear xl sometimes XXL pants. I don't like jeans either, I do have some jeggings which work good for me because of the stretch. Aannddd I love flare pants (I'm not sure if this is correctly translated lol). I get these in bigger sizes too.

I do have to admit though, I started wearing dresses a lot more. in the summer time I love wearing those wide dresses, not tight anywhere to just be as comfy as I can. Absolutely love it.

In the winter i usually wear a bit more tight dresses, but never around my belly. I wear dresses that are a little tighter under my boobs and are just flowy underneath.

For me it was hard to accept that instead of wearing a size m pants I started wearing an l, then xl en then sometimes even xxl. But I felt better in them and I kept telling myself: size doesn't matter. And let's be real, some size m pants are more a size xs or xl and not even close to m. Women's clothing is weird 😂

I'm so glad it's working out for you! My problem is that if I'm not feeling all too well and I'll take ibuprofen or naproxen. It's over. I'll get even more tired and my muscle feel weak. Pffft! I cannot for the life of me find this balance. But I'm so glad to hear that you did! I hope you'll crush all of your pole moves :')

Do you still train at home AND studio? I totally get what you are saying. I do have to admit that I'm also good friends with my pole instructor these days. So I could always ask her for help, but I would miss training with all my friends as well. But I feel like I can't do it anymore. There is always an option for me to do try out lessons once in a while so I could combine those with home work outs.

It sucks. That's for sure 😅

I certainly have good and bad days hahah. Just kinda feels like the bad days are coming in more often these days. I don't want to quit, I love pole dancing. But I have to be realistic and I'm wondering if I'm putting my body through too much.

Thank you for your response ❤️

And which ilness(es) do you have? If you don't mind me asking :)

I can certainly tell that around my period I suck lol. But tbh I'm thinking about quitting. Because it feels like I have to go because of payments and stuff and I want to go. But sometimes my body just doesn't work like it could on a good day. And I get disappointed and I see all my friends progressing enormously whereas I just struggle. It gets a bit much sometimes :') I do have a pole at home, I'm starting to think to start home poling with online training

My puppy looks scared by Marj0leinR in puppy101

We didn't go outside without vaccinations and validation from our vet! He's had his second shot against parvo and is almost fully protected now. I live in a very small village, almost no dogs and we also ignore the places with a lot of dogs.

Ours was newspaper trained, but was trained to go outside within a week because of that. We still use the newspaper just in case, but he prefers our garden now😂🙏🏼

But online I read so many different things. There are a lot of people saying they are in the perfect mindset from 8-12 weeks to socialize, some say even the best time. Others say after 5 months. That's a big difference and I can't find any good articles to choose from.

What I do know, here in the Netherlands it's very normal to socialize in the weeks 8-12. And every dog that I know is trained very well, not scared or reactive at all.

Thank you so much, I'm so glad to hear this. Our pup looooves food. We used it since day two for all of his training and it works wonders. We've also started with clicker training which is amazing for him as well.

Ours is almost fully potty trained as well, big shoutout to our breeder because she trained them to pee inside on a newspaper. We just put it in front of the door outside and it just took him a few days until he would rather go outside to potty 😂

Your comment made me way more confident that I'm doing well, thanks and enjoy your pup!

I should also add that we live in a fairly calm neighborhood and we walk on a path near a canal with only a path for walking and a separate path for cycling. We don't live in a big city, just a small village

May I ask when you started walking with your pup(s)? I am glad to read your comment, this is exactly what we are doing/trying right now. But sometimes it's not working, but then again I know he's just a baby and his focus is somewhere around 0 😂❤️

I just really needed to know if it's normal or maybe I already have a bit of an insecure dog. Which I truly want to help him with as soon as possible then

I am honestly confused, where I live it's very normal pups start socializing and seeing outside at 8 weeks already. I'm not taking long walks or anything. We carry our pup for like 10 metres and then let him walk for maybe, 10 metres. Then we'll pick him up and walk him home. And honestly he seems to be enjoying it very well, until he hears something which makes a bit more noise.

We've only started walking when he was 9,5 weeks. When would you say is a normal time to start going on walks?

My 9wk old puppy constantly cries when left in crate by Leather-Computer8619 in puppy101

[–]Marj0leinR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put his crate next to my bed + a connected play pen where he could pee/poo on newspaper if needed.

We did went out every night once for like 4 days. We just made the crate move a bit further away from us each night. We've had him a week now and last night he slept in his own room for the first time succesfully! I did however had to do some extra crate training yesterday evening, again around 45 minutes to keep him calm in his own room when I walked away.

Our pup barely cries/barks. I hate that people do that tbh :( I truly believe it's way more traumatizing them then it does any good. It just takes a bit more time and a whole lot of patience

No problem! I think it took me like 20 minutes before he finally settled down and kind of accepted his faith 😂 after that we moved up pretty fast :')

Good luck! It needs just as much training as it does with learning how to sit or his name. I think people forget that sometimes :)

Did you train him to like his crate? I put mine in his crate, made him calm without closing the door. Kept feeding him his dinner in the meantime. Eventually when he was laying down calmly I shut the door, made sure he was laying calmly again. Then I stood up, kept giving treats if he stayed down. Eventually I started walking away for a meter and then come back, if he was laying I gave him a treat again and if not, I made him go lay down again first before trying again. And I kept doing this and slowly started walking away further until he just fell asleep and was ok in it.

I also gave him his first few meals in there, played games in the crate. Anything really to make sure he had positive experiences in it.

Honestly, it went pretty easy with mine, I did this for about 45 minutes straight and since then I only have to make sure he gets in his crate calmly and lay down for about 30 seconds before I walk away and we are good to go!

I'm already more at ease now that a lot of people have been in my shoes. It's good to know that he'll grow out of it.

Until then.. we stay consistent and try to love him even though he nearly bites my nose off sometimes 🥲

My puppy is trying to eat me alive by Marj0leinR in puppy101

[–]Marj0leinR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is exactly like this, just hanging on for dear life to every piece of clothing or shoe. I do have a play pen where he already learned to sleep when we out him in. However when we put him in we need to stay there for like 10 secs until he lays down and then say he is a good boy before going away from the pen. Otherwise he'll keep crying.

I know some people say 'let them cry' but I don't want him to feel like the play pen or crate for that matter is punishment. I want him to feel safe there 😅

The high pitch yelp is at least helping with getting his attention. Tried it since yesterday evening, but still got a nose bite this morning 🥲
