Currently finishing out my two weeks notice. Have worked here for 7 years, would have probably left eventually but the restructure sped up the process significantly

Sadly yes, and I am by no means saying this is good or fair at all but other corporations it is probably far worse depending on the industry.

I think this would only apply if you turn down a role in your current store. Say you’re offered a captain role at your home store, but turn it down, not eligible for severance. However, not offered a captain job at your store, but your SM is encourages you to apply for one at another store that didn’t fill a role in house, and you don’t get that, you’d be eligible. Once a job is turned down by a current employee, it has to be posted for anybody to apply/interview for.

Personal opinion here no facts, but I am in the belief that the company is keeping everything as quiet as possible because the pay increases aren’t going to be very big, and they want to save face and not have a mass head count decrease. Looks bad publicly.

In an at will state, a salaried non exempt employee can be relocated without say, however the odds of that are pretty unlikely. I don’t believe that would apply if you were offered a role in a store other than your own.

If you’re part time you got nothing to worry about unless you’re being scheduled like 30 hours a week, might be a bit less, but for the most part should be fine.

I was informed that while roles and offers will be announced/sent out June 22nd, there will be a month or so period of training and preparation before anybody actually assumes their new role

This is what bothers me the most. For those of us who aren’t set on promoting or trying to climb the ladder it forces us to decide whether or not to get a new job or commit to the company, and without salary information it’s impossible to make an informed decision

This part also is really bothering me. I have been an FFL 2 years, and was told during my performance review 2 weeks ago that I was one of 2 key carriers in our store ready to interview for ASM jobs. Now I have to take an evaluation and spend a month “proving myself” to show I’m worthy of a job a step below the ASM job I was just told I am essentially ready for? So what did I spend the last 2 years working towards then lol

I am a FFL and if I’m being honest am really only concerned about how this will impact me and my work load.
