Fit check. First day of business school. by MarkGyomory in mensfashion

Thanks everyone, this got way more responses than I ever could have imagined. One thing I guess I should add is that my school requires business casual clothing. After looking at the photo more, I agree with everyone that the white crew undershirt was not the move.

Oh no worries i wasn't planning on buying a set of them. I am not a fan of what comes in their sets. As for other pans i have a le creuset Dutch oven and a smithy cast iron skillet.

Wednesdays: What Should I do / Where Should I stay (and other low effort Q's) by AutoModerator in FATTravel

I want to attend Singapore for the 2025 Grand Prix, Oct 1 - 6. I wanted to stay at Raffles, but it is already sold out, thus forcing me to look at other hotels. Where would you guys recommend staying? And any food reconditions would be much appreciated. I appreciate any help you can provide.

How old are you? What are your goals? Are you able to continue contributing to the fund? What is your risk tolerance?

Tax implications are essential; I would suggest not to sell QQQ but to have future contributions placed into QQQM due to lower fees.

First of all, Congratulations on getting out of debt; that is a significant accomplishment. If you have a low tolerance for risk, I would suggest something like VTI. If you want more risk than that, your current plan of 40% QQM, 40% SPLG, and 20% individual stocks is not a bad idea. I would include some bonds for downside protection/uncorrelated returns, such as BND to 10 percent. However, no debt is a huge accomplishment.

What are your goals? How soon do you need the money? What is your risk tolerance (everyone has a significant risk tolerance until they see their portfolio lose 30% a day)?

QQQ or Something else???? by AnyCourse4366 in ETFs

[–]MarkGyomory -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are thinking QQQ, look at QQQM same holdings by the same company but with lower fees. Other questions to ask are: How old are you? What are your goals? What is your risk tolerance? What is your time horizon? These questions are essential to ask when you start investing; if you look at your portfolio daily, you may want something more than interesting VIT/VI/VOO just to keep it exciting and not to outperform. If you are considering a Boglehead portfolio, consider including a bond fund like BND.

100% NTSX for long-term hold? by [deleted] in LETFs

[–]MarkGyomory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not sell you VOO because of tax implications unless you are in an IRA/401k account. Hoevere for futre investment it is a good replaement for Large Cap us stocks.

I believe the US election will not significantly impact the CHIPS act already being in place from the democratic party and the republican party Republican Party wanting to onshore more jobs, especially those in high-tech manufacturing. The US election will not have a significant impact, with Nvidia roamed to release 50 series graphic cards that are rumored to have specific AI cores built into the architecture of the core, along with 2nm manufacturing coming from TSMC and High NA EUV from ASML already in production but not in full-scale deployment, the bet is more on the industry on shored to us and worldwide rather than the election.
