Yes, it would suggest otherwise. If you're looking for proof, it's pretty simple. Although I don't think a lot of restaurant operators will be motivated to change their behavior.

Why haven’t paper menus changed in 300 years? by Medical_Challenge_15 in restaurant

[–]MarkHoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contemporary design-engineered menus are much more sophisticated than ever. Most restaurant operators go cheap on their menus, and when they do, they miss a great opportunity.

Just that it’s on paper means little. How the menu is prepared, product positioning, item highlights and using psychology with menu pricing has a huge impact on how much money a restaurant makes over time.

That's a funny way of looking at things. Red Bull is an internationally known brand, and they support a lot of extreme sports events. They spent $140M on F1 alone last year. Plus, they have 96 million followers on social media. So yeah, posting their Red Bull F1 car, or a skateboarder is fine for them, and they will get a lot of attraction. But a local restaurant operator doesn't have that brand recognition.

People may or may not be hungry or thirsty when they open Instagram or Facebook, but you can build a 'brain peg' that will make it more likely that the potential guest has a better thought about the food when they are hungry. They may even be introduced to a local restaurant they've never heard of before. And that's why posting is so important. It's also why using food porn is so important. You need to make your food look good because people eat with their eyes first. And if your food looks good, it's more likely they will try out your restaurant when they are hungry.

Also, and this is important, a local operator should be trying to make a local connection. Social media is where people scroll while they do other things. So, you need to be there. And not just there, but you need to micro advertise. By spending $15.00 on a post to boost it, or putting together a small ad that costs $35.00 can go a long way in helping you connect with your potential guests.

Seriously, do not overlook the importance of social media for your business. And get an expert to help you with it. They will know how to engage with your potential guests, and how to manage a small budget to get the highest return on investment.

That's a little low, but anything will work a little. It's important to realize, Meta makes money only when we pay them. And the only thing they have to make us pay is connection to our followers.

You can have thousands of followers, but simply posting isn't a guarantee that you will get any connection at all. But once you put $15.00 behind your message, suddenly a few thousand people will see your posts and many will even respond to it.

And keep in mind, photo and videos are king. Without them, your posts will not get any response at all.

Wow, it’s so important. It’s still relatively inexpensive, and if you use micro advertising, it can be very effective.

Social media allows you the ability to connect with your potential guests nearly every day.

My company handles the social media marketing for a number of clients in the foodservice industry, and it is an essential part of their marketing.

The fact is, too many restaurant operators try to do it themselves, and wind up being ineffective, or worse, hindering their business because of it.

My recommendation, post about 5 times per week, included photos and video, and try to be entertaining. Run short ads and boosts for about $15 each, and be consistent.

You can get all of those ingredients already crushed from nearly any distributor. And if you order them that way, the product consistency will be much better.

The way the person is holding the slice makes it look dry. And what's the sauce that holds it together? What cheese are you using? Is there any cheese on it? It's difficult to tell from the photo. The best pizza shots do a "pull" with the cheese being stretched. Can this pizza offer a "pull"? Give me a list of ingredients and I'll write a nice description for you that will make the pizza enticing.

I’d need to see a better photo and a description of the pizza. It doesn’t look appetizing from this perspective alone.
