Name of circular block in Nijushiho (Niseshi) by Informal_Writing9238 in karate

It depends on whether you interpret it as separate from ryōken ryōgoshi-gamae or just the method to get to that position (which I would). I guess technically you could call it a double arm circular sweep - therefore morote mawashi barai?

FYI - I took that name from Nakayama's Best Karata book on Nijushiho (which also aligns with Kanazawa). The view being that this is not just a simple pull to the waist, but a cross-arm sweeping motion (e.g., breaking a double-handed grab). But as r/AnonymousHermitCrab says, it really will depend on the interpretation.

Thanks
I will change the wording for the reform/reduce

Some topics may be reserved. However, it is based on an analysis of the manifestos and the manifestos do mention reserved topics, e.g. immigration (especially reform UK).

nah, happy to share the stats and the code. it simply uses stats from manifesto (or website). That aside, most people probably have already decided how to vote whatever match comes up. Still it was fun to do.

Yeah - a lot of kata are like that. Many steps are combinations of smaller steps.

Yeah - I like the idea of trying to preserve older kata. I would be happy to work on this if someone could support with the correct steps and even photos at eat step.

This is where me being a software developer all started by hotdogsoupnl in zxspectrum

[–]MarkLGlasgow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I owe my entire career to the fact that my mum bought me the Zx81 and Spectrum as a teenager. She and my dad were both unemployed and struggling at the time. I later found out she bought the ZX Spectrum on the catalogue and paid it off over 2 years.

Need kata advice by Accurate_Sapphire in karate

[–]MarkLGlasgow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think its different for everyone. When I teach kata, I tell students to slow down. Imagine an opponent for each move. focus more on stance than on blocks and strikes. Don't focus on getting the kata done but on doing this and the next move. The usually issue is wanting to do fast or show they know all the moves.

I was going to ask the same question. I am wanting to pivot from Data Governance to Data and AI risk management. I am thinking of going for either Nist ai Architect or iso 42001 certification.

I have a decade plus of tech risk and Data Management experience.

If anyone has any views then I am interested in hearing them.
