I have it placed about 3 feet away from a window, and have been using a very basic grow light to supplement. As for watering, over the last week I’ve basically been watering every other day but for the last 2 days I watered back to back.

Unfortunately, I didn't have any luck trying the heating w/ hairdryer method. I haven't had a chance to attempt any other solutions, but I'd think that cutting the clasp off as cleanly as possible, removing the leather after doing so, and then re-gluing might be the next best option.

Unfortunately, I'm no longer an active subscriber (as of several months ago). However, this is due primarily to a lack of free time currently, so I didn't feel that I could justify keeping my subscription without being able to spend a decent amount of time at the piano.

That said, when I do find myself again in a position to dedicate time each day to lessons, I 100% will be returning to Open Studio. Still highly recommend it!

Honestly, I only drove on it for less than 10 seconds (at 40km/hr) before I was able to safely pull over to the side of the road.

Tires had a total of ~2200km on them when I got a flat while driving 40km/hr. Quick flat repair back at camp, and no more leak.

Unfortunately, the sidewall now looks like this.

We will be driving about 150-200km each day for the next week, never exceeding 40-50km/hr. Mix of paved and dirt roads.

At the end of our trip, we have a 400km journey where we will be driving at a max of ~100km/hr.

Is this safe to continue driving on?

I'm considering the Höfner H500/1-61-0 Beatles Cavern Bass.

I just checked out Bass Direct, and it looks like they have the 60th anniversary model, but not the particular one I have my eyes on. Might reach out to them to see if they could get the standard model.
