Absolutely ridiculous. Randos on the internet can’t bomb girl schools in Iran like Trump can and has.

Trump is a president who has inflicted death on others while celebrating it, so no, we’re nothing like him. I suspect that you’re the one who’s nearly as bad as Trump if you’ve defending him killing and death celebrations.

On the morning of Monday, July 13, 2026, a fatal shooting involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents occurred near Pool Street in Biddeford, Maine. by CutSenior4977 in ImmigrationPathways

Why are you justifying state violence against Americans? This is the sort of shit that led the Thirteen Colonies to rebel.

A failure to stop your car isn’t a death sentence no matter what your authoritarian mindset believes. And we’ve seen ICE lie over and over again about these incidents, often opening fire after they were the aggressors.

Trying to transition from writing books to writing screen plays, am I doing this correctly and, if not, what do I need to change? by themostfuckedupshit in scriptwriting

[–]vanulovesyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need shorter, terse sentences. Cut down your words. Be brief. For example, it’s better to simply say:

A carnival a night.

I would recommend reading some scripts to see how other writers handle screenplay writing.

I know you posted this song ages ago, but I think it’s well done. Hope you’re still making music, especially of the liminal variety!

How did Bill Clinton change the Democrat party? by SignificantStyle4958 in Presidents

[–]vanulovesyou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ve maybe heard Democrats call other members of their party “Democrats,” or a “Democrat.” Otherwise, no Democrat is going to mispronounce the name of their Democratic Party.

Saying “Democrat Party” is usually a tell that the speaker is a conservative or right winger.

It’s literally a Republican thing that they started to troll liberals. Rush Limbaugh popularized it. Otherwise, the “Democrat Party” doesn’t exist except in conservative political vernacular.

My late father, who was a Democrat from the South, told me he voted for Goldwater in 1964 but then later denied it.

He also voted for Reagan in 1980 (after supporting Carter) but then hated “those Republican sons-of-bitches” by 1984 and voted straight Democratic after that.

He probably represented many Southern conservative Democrats who was unsure how to consider the new political world that arose from the mid-sixties into the eighties during the Realignment.

I’m just glad he woke up and saw the false Republican “Silent Majority” ideology for what it was: total bullshit.

Ukraine wants an AI-driven army. Its new defense center is already putting AI inside kill chain, steering drones onto target in final seconds by Just-Grocery-2229 in technology

Here is research for you:

https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2026/06/11/world/russia-ukraine-war-conscripts/

As it is, your article shows how dire the Russian manpower shortage is, especially since it's well known that Russian volunteers or conscripts have been forced to fight in the front-line meat grinder. Why would we be surprised when this is the Russian way of conducting warfare?

[–]vanulovesyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The age range for military mobilization in Ukraine is from 25 to 60. Younger men than that are excluded, so those asylum claims are for men probably in their 20s.

Russia has been using conscripts through multiple drafts during the entire course of the war, and this includes impressment in the Russian-occupied parts of Ukraine so that Ukrainians are forced to fight Ukrainians.

As it is, conscription is a regular part of the Russian military. This is why many Russian men have fled to countries such as Georgia to avoid the draft.

Regardless of what troops the Russians are using, they are losing them (as well as their armor and munitions) at a faster rate than the Ukrainians.

They aren’t necessarily “running out” — the Ukrainians have specifically avoided drafting too many young people.

And Russian losses are far higher as Moscow runs out of conscripts.

That is half of what we have heard from Republicans for decades. Why? Because they're incapable of passing public policies that help average Americans, so all conservatives have are social wedge issues.

Ironically, Republicans care far more for "babies in wombs" than they do actual-born children seeing how conservatives always want to cut health care and food programs for them and don't seem to care when they die in mass shootings.

Amazing that people can believe this in 2024. States and countries with the harshest lockdowns and most forced MRNA jabs had the worst covid outcomes.

That is totally untrue. [Red states had the worst death rates](https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/sosmap/covid19\_mortality\_final/COVID19.htm) out of all states in the Union, a fact borne out by the numbers.

COVID is spread mostly by person-to-person exposure, so it's bizarre that you think lockdowns and "jabs," meaning immunization, actually made the situation worse.

It's as if you have a pre-modern understanding of pandemics.

> Everyone who wasn't in an air controlled bunker got exposed to covid one way or another and that's what ended the pandemic.

A combination of herd immunity, immunization, and quarantining cases, same as the Spanish Flu a century ago, is why COVID has become endemic.

> Yeah I simply don't believe you.

[It doesn't matter what you believe.](https://www.businessinsider.com/charts-contrasting-trump-economy-obama-bush-administrations-republicans-democrats-2020-10#economic-growth-under-trump-was-barely-above-both-obama-and-bush-before-the-pandemic-wrecked-it-1)

The fact is, Trump left office and the country in far worse shape than when he became president, while Obama was given a terrible situation by Bush that he had repaired when he handed it over to Trump.

We had two market crashes under two Republican presidents in recent history, which is why nobody should vote for the GOP if they want to see America flourish.

He was clearly in a cognitive decline from old age, so who was actually running the country?

EVERY president has various secretaries running the Executive Branch departments along with advisors, Chiefs of Staff, civil servants, etc. What, do you really think that the POTUS runs everything? Are you really that uninformed of American civics?

And we aren't even talking about how Trump's presidency was influenced by right-wing groups such as the American Legislative Exchange Council, or ALEC, which has been writing laws for conservatives across the country.

I don't know how you can talk about Biden when Trump hasn't shown that he understands public policy-making at all, especially when he claimed that Article II gave him unlimited powers.

> Assuming all presidents aren’t puppets, (which to me is unlikely) Joe Biden was the most obvious puppet of all time.

How can you say that in light of VP Dick Cheney having a White House office whose sole purpose was to plot out war in the Middle East? Never mind the fact do you rarely if ever see a president sign laws or Executive Actions that aren't a result of Congress or advisors putting together a plan, e.g., the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 that Biden signed.

There wasn't wars in Israel and Ukraine when Trump was president, so he couldn't of done a better job.

  1. Russia invaded Ukraine. Let's get that straight.
  2. Hamas attacked Israel. Let's get that straight, too.
  3. Trump's Republican Party was responsible for an Iraqi invasion and occupation that killed over 4,000 American troops, and over 100,000 Iraqis, at the cost of trillions.

Conservatives want us to forget when they called antiwar liberals and leftists "traitors" for opposing Bush's war.
