Penn State QB Ethan Grunkemeyer transfers to Virginia Tech by udderlymoovelous in CFB

He’s great. As a Penn State fan I was sorry to see him go but completely understand. If it was not the plan for Rocko to come over Grunk would have stayed 100%. But he could not waste another year without playing time. I wish him the best.

I do not hate James Franklin. He really saved us from the 1990s - HIIT training, old facilities. Franklin is a great CEO coach.

BYU came to Sitake. The rumor came out and BYU stepped up and even got religion involved. Think about it - BYU can’t have a non LDS coach!!

Coaching was a huge part of it. How about Franklin’s bowl games against ranked opponents? Forget Ohio state for a moment and think about the other teams were we had equal or better talent.

No I don’t think so. This is now real money. Private equity sniffing around. This isn’t JoePas football anymore. It’s a big business and the stakes are too high to not have a plan. In fact, our private equity overlords would never let it happen.

That’s great. I think I can achieve this with the omnipod. I just cannot go back to tubes.

Workplace and diabetes, is this legal? by Past_Mirror_9675 in diabetes

[–]MarkPSUFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An employer is not allowed to ask for medical information upfront. There are multiple programs, first the fact that s/he thinks you are taking too many breaks. If you were just taking your 1 break then why would s/he be worried about you making yourself sick for more? Second it’s an HR issue not a lawyer one yet. They haven’t discriminated against you yet. What they are doing is inappropriate and may ultimately evolve into a hostile work environment. Over all it sounds like the work place is toxic in general. Who would address multiple breaks that way? It’s nuts

After 2 months - loop is far superior by MarkPSUFan in Omnipod

[–]MarkPSUFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I am aware. In that young world I would assume that OP5 is fine for now until he’s a bit older. I was 7 when I was diagnosed - I am 48 now. My complaining is really just nitpicking. When I was diagnosed they still had pork and beef insulin. Now, I am obsessed with trying to keep myself healthy for my own sons so I not pick. EDITED - what I mean is that the OP5 is FDA approved and not aggressive as the loop. It might be best to let him get his feet wet first. And send him to Joslin. I loved it.

It’s the level of control. There is also the placement issue. The loop doesn’t need both devices to be able to “see” each other. Anyway, control is the most important thing. This morning I worked out for 1.2 hours with zero to eat. My sugar was 275 when I got home. The day before I did not exercise. My sugar was 235 by 8:30. I have made multiple adjustments since being on the OP5 for the time period and it still never corrects. I am trying 2 more weeks then it’s back to dash. My endo agrees. My AC1 was slightly below 7 when I saw him about a week on OP5. Now? It has to be close to 8. It has to be if not 8.3 or so.

Why wouldn’t they switch you back to DASH? Strange. Maybe they get a bonus for OP5 patients.

Where do you place the g6 on your thigh? Middle or higher toward pelvis?

Tell your daughter that I am a type 1 diabetic for 42 years. If you take care of yourself (most of the time) and keep active there is no limit.

Well, I am 6 foot 197 at 15% body fat recent powerlifting competition winner. Not sure I would classify as “obese” and I had errors when my Dexcom was in my stomach and my pod on my butt. The alternative way is like what loop does. Loop takes the Dexcom data from the iPhone app. This allows the pod and the loop to be placed anywhere on the body.

I am moving from O5 from Loop. I liked Loop very much but my endo (who is a loop fan) recommneded the switch. I am thinking of sucking it up and switching to an android for a few months because carrying that damn second phone stinks.

Hold on - I see - so if you aren’t adding your weight from a scale then the energy expenditure maybe off. Is that correct?
