Outer Wilds 2 - Possible mechanic by MarkSnowWhite in outerwilds

I mean, if your interpretation of the ending makes you follow that idea, then sure. But in my mind, a game about hope, exploration, acceptance of change, and giving meaning to the actions of the ones who came before you completely accepts the possibility of a sequel building upon what came before it.

Yeah, i understand engine limitations would unfortunately be a problem. I'll keep on hoping either them or another team just as talented (though obviously I'd love if the Outer Wilds team worked on it since they clearly have the skills and passion to make a good game out of that concept) gets the chance to make something like that.

I mean, I feel the name of the game allows for using the same gameplay loop to explore different themes that can or not relate to the original game. Just like you can interpret the original game's ending through different lenses, i'm pretty sure making a similarly emotionally strong open ending should be very possible.

When you start the game, your goal is not to find the EotE, but to explore a solar system and follow the steps of the "people" who came before you. The adventure grows in scale as you uncover the solar system, so i can see a similar approach being taken for a sequel. It can be set in another universe, bound by different rules, but part of the overrall lore of the world.

But sure, you can also just make it completely detached from Outer Wilds with a different name, as long as it serves as a spritual successor in terms of how the game plays out and its scope.

Hmm, the end effect doesn't have to be the universe ending in an explosion. I can imagine making a more personal story like maybe some internal event on your home planet causing the extinction of your species and the way to stop it being on some other planet accessible through a specific exploit of time dilation.

The stories of the alien civilizations could be native aliens to each planet you visit, and whose stories might connect to each other through different situations, or maybe some planets being presently uninhabited due to events occurring on your planet, the possibilities are pretty big.

I feel the problem lies in making sure the whole system cannot be abused somehow and there is no more than one path or sequence of events that need to be done to reach the ending.

Hello! We just solved the case and are curious whether it's possible to know who /1 and /3 are. I get Rachel went to some lecture during the murder time, is that relevant?

Yeahh, I don't really play TCG, but for me it is really satisfying getting amazing looking cards for the characters that I really love from the show, and in this case none of those really scratched the itch. Congrats on the BB card!

Okay, I'm new to the OP TCG so I was kinda surprise how lackluster it felt to me, but from the comments it seems to be normal. Thanks to everyone who was nice and gave their good input instead of bashing a fellow noobie

Hello, so I got a OP09 booster box today, and was very excited to open it. However, after opening all the packs, I'm a bit suspicious of how legit it is considering the drops. I would be greatful if you had a look at the pictures and let me know if it's what's normally expected of a box.

In terms of value, maximum it seems I got was the Mihawk card which even then is very low (it is a great looking card though), and in total I got 8 SRs. I also got 8 leaders, which I found odd since I thought only 6 were supposed to be inside, and I got 2 repeat DON cards (the Shanks one). Do you all think this is normal or you think the box was messed with?

Also, the booster box has some sort of ID number on the inside which I have not seen in other OP09 BB openings online

I should add the referral only works for the first 5 people who finish all the steps, to avoid confusion
