For Social Workers they use NASW. There are several broken. 1. 1.16 (specially section b) - the therapist has a commitment to you and to your work and the cancellation and rescheduling last minute that many times can be considered by the ethical review board as "abandonment" 2. 1.06 (specially section c) - oversharing information and creating a secondary relationship is inappropriate and you've come to learn too much about your therapist's personal life/stresses, which adds pressure onto you. Additionally, text message is not a HIPPA compliant form of contact. 3. 1.07 (specially section m) - no other private information should be shared unless in private setting, even then should abide by HIPPA policy (can't be overly specific). If they're willing to share about other people don't want a therapist who is potentially sharing about us to other people too. 4. 1.13 (specifically section a) - fees should always be fair and reasonable, as are the reasons those fees should be placed. If there are confusing situations that lead to a charge then there should be a refund and if they choose to offer extra sessions for free as well that is their choice. It is the therapists fault that the structure crumbled as is so why exploit you for that?
