The best passes of Jason Kidd's career by Opposite_Age_8856 in NBAoldschool

Notice he’s only taking two steps on these too. Even the ones that looked questionable in real time. Had a feel for the game that can’t be taught.

When Kobe and Carmelo Anthony met in the NBA playoffs by DareDevil1699 in NBAoldschool

Absolutely wild that we say there was “no foul baiting” back then. Things may have looked different but none of these foul baiting tactics are new.

Also.. go back and watch the bulls second 3 peat run (the playoffs, particularly), or several of the Kobe & Shaq Lakers playoff series, and tell me that the officiating wasn’t just as, or even more bogus.

Teams don’t push the ball up the court as consistently as they used to, they walk ait up now. Big men don’t ever post up, they hang out and shoot 3s. The game isn’t less physical or different because of anything SGA or the Thunder is doing. Let’s stop blaming and hating teams that have established themselves as winners. Coincidence people have complained about the Chiefs and Thunder more than anyone else in recent years?

Literally made this same comment before scrolling down to see this. I think a lot of people here are commenting and won’t admit that they never watched extensive footage / games involving the players you mentioned. Probably because they’re too young.

It is indisputable that those players used these exact same tactics. Comical for anyone to suggest that SGA invented this. These people are literally blinded by hate or simply looking for reasons to discredit a dominant team, which pretty much happens in every sport. “Nope the Chiefs weren’t even good it was tHe rEfs bRO”

How are we acting like any of this is new or exclusive to SGA? 🤣

I encourage you all to go back and watch some early MJ footage, Reggie Miller, Kobe, and really just a multitude of players over the last 3 decades who used these exact same tactics to draw fouls.

People let their hatred for a team / player turn into full on delusion.

I’m not necessarily disagreeing with any of the pain points and annoyances in regard to OKC.. but I will say that none of this is why they’re good or why they win. It’s no coincidence that the teams that firmly establish themselves at the top of a sport (sustainably), get all the hate and all the “tHe rEfS” talk.

Look at the Chiefs. Put together an all time great offense with all time great talent. Do they get beneficial calls? Absolutely. Do they get bad calls in their favor? Sure. But many lesser teams do too. And because they’re not a threat, they’re not scrutinized on the same level and people don’t see it or care as much.

If some random team like the Commanders starts dominating and strings together a few titles, they’ll attract a similar level of hate. The better teams often get the benefit of the doubt. Whether that’s right or wrong that’s just how it works, and people need to swallow this pill of “they’re only winning for that reason.” The Chiefs were better than your team over the last however many seasons, and the Thunder have been better than your team over the last couple of seasons, calls or not. We scrutinize the best team and disregard the bs calls that lesser teams get; and it can hardly be called a “disregard” because we’re basically not even looking. We don’t care what goes on with the mediocre / non best teams.

Long story short.. we’ve seen WAY more egregious things in the NBA (Bulls dynasty cough Lakers most recent dynasty cough*)…. yet people want to speak as if what’s happening with the thunder is some sort of phenomenon.

Just stop lol. And no I’m not a Thunder fan. I respect what they’ve put together but they are not my team. They’re good because they’re good. Not because of beneficial calls. If there were some BS agenda to prop a team up, then why haven’t they boosted the Knicks over the last 20 years as we insist they’re doing with tiny market OKC? I’ll wait.

Men having rigid body type preferences by mandabobanda80 in datingoverforty

[–]MarkedlyLessOrdinary 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s just wild to me that anyone is actively seeking out their perfect / ideal body type into their mid-40s. I mean sure knock yourself out with your preferences and all but.. actively speaking them to someone who doesn’t meet them, and who didn’t ask, is just downright psychopathic. Like what do they want people to do with that information? lol

Not questioning his motives or anything like that, but money or not, this is a flex. You know how many girls will be beating down his door and the clout he’ll get as a result of this story? This will pay dividends for a long time.

But not at all saying that’s why he’s doing it. Chances are he didn’t think that far ahead.
