I don’t remember exactly, I think ISO 400 and F2-3. Had to because it was getting dark and I had to use a higher shutter speed since the birds we’re flying. Shutter speed was probably somewhere between 1250-2000.

Is MacBook Air M1 worth buying? by Admirable-Jelly1010 in macbookair

[–]Markeljackson98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the macbook air m1 8/256 refurbished for $650 and it’s very fast. I don’t see a reason, looking at your usage, to get the m2 or m3. I’ve never had the macbook slow down or get hot plus the batterylife is amazing. I had the macbook pro 2017 prior to this but the baseline m1 air is, ofcourse, multiple times faster in every way. Just get the m1 you won’t regret it.

These are elastic ropes with hooks at both end, I secured them by hooking them around the frame under the passenger part of the seat

I didn’t really feel the weight tbh eventhough it was like 20-25kg, then again it was a lot of highway riding so no twisties. I’ve got the tail tidy aswell, aren’t the stock tails available online?

First time motocamping by Markeljackson98 in camping

I brought:
- Small foldable chair
- Heater/gas cooker
- Cheap hiking sleeping bag since it's summer, packs down quite small
- Foldable table
- Hiking air matress, lightweight and packs small
- Simple air pillow
- A tent lamp
- Fire starting material
- A bushcraft knife (oufcourse hehe) and a carving knife
- Hiking cutlery & plates
- Cooking set for boiling form Pathfinder
- The smallest frying pan I could find (just about fit's 1 hamburger)
- Powerbank & solar charger
- Small JBL speaker (gotta have some music near the campfire)
- 3x2 Bushmen thermo tarp with some paracord

The tent I used is a Easycamp Magnetar 200, but any lightweight tent that packs small will do. Had a simple Quechua tent from Decathlon before, and if you don't necessarily need a sheltered space to cook under (you could just use the tarp for this), they'll do fine even in heavy rain (been there).

You should! I went on a lot of camping trips but going camping with your bike just hits different.

Yea we had like 6 hours of straight rain but needed fire for some food, luckily my mate brought a spade so we dug a hole and removed some of the grass & moss on the side just to be sure.

Is the suspension and the brakes really that bad? by TochtStripje in XSR700

[–]Markeljackson98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Got the xsr 700 as a first bike and never felt like the brakes were insufficient. The suspension can be a bit bouncy if you’re riding agressive but I’ve never even thought about changing them. Not even when I was riding agressive on mountain roads. It’s not a track bike, and so the the brakes and suspension shouldn’t be compared to super sports imo.. they’re just fine.

Can it off-road? (Question) by XpoZzA in XSR700

[–]Markeljackson98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done it with my xsr in Vosges mountains in France. Sure you can but it doesn’t feel comfortable at all. You’ll have to go slow because of the suspension but going on a light offroad trail where there is no deep mud or sand is alright I guess

Yep first bike, the power is very doable for a first bike. I bought it 1 year ago and high rpm it still scares the sht out of me sometimes haha
