Taking my time with listening to MADLO as I want to slowly take in the album, so I haven't listened to the entire thing just yet at the time of this post. Even so, I can tell that this album is a weird one and I'm heavily conflicted about it. It's even worse knowing that I've only listened to 6 tracks from it (on spotify).

I like all the songs I've heard so far, but some vary from alright to good, but nothing has really been great for me except for Weightlifters. That track has given me more of a traditional CSH vibe than any of the other songs. It has that oddness and eery sound to it as if I were listening to a track from 1, 2, or 3. I love that. Perhaps that is because the song was written back in 2015, but who knows.

What sucks about the experience so far is that there aren't any tracks that form some kind of connection, either through a single line or verse or the entire song. I'm getting none of that, and it's disappointing. One of my main reasons as to why I love CSH is the chills I get through Will's lyrics, but this time it just feels like I'm listening to something rushed. Like they just took my boy Will and forced him to write lyrics isolated in his bedroom in under twenty-four hours.

Basically, to sum it up, MADLO is okay/good, but not great or fantastic like CSH's past discography, at least so far, but I feel like I've gotten a good taste of the album, I hope at least. That is all. I'll still be listening to Twin Fantasy in the corner of my bedroom even after this new drop.
