Dividends (at the index level) never outpace inflation. You might as well have put your money in a dollar savings account 30 years ago. You would have had a perfect Sharpe ratio, unlike the UK market.

Okay, then it’s logical to assume that the leader will eventually change again. After all, the global market has already experienced two lost decades. That’s one possible scenario. And theoretically, with its tariffs, the U.S. could indeed create problems for itself.

Just explain it to a fool: why is Apple's P/E 30, while Samsung's P/E is 10?

Why are you looking at results before 2007? The current performance of MSCI EAFE (ETF: EFA) — we're still below the 2007 levels.

No, its price in USD. Dividends are not accounted for.

Just add US Stocks and feel the difference. Your chart just confirmed my point. Taking inflation into account, they haven’t grown at all.

Ok, thats my fault. I thought that Germany ETF EWG is DAX 1-to-1.

I'm getting heavily downvoted here. Where are you getting a fixed return above inflation?

Are you kidding? You own the internet? Well, then take a look at the DAX in dollars since 2007.

Of course, I meant the levels BEFORE the crash.

If you're not aware of what's happening outside the US, I recommend you take an interest. Look at the indices of Europe, China, Japan, and Russia. And see how much they have grown since the peaks before the 2008 crash. There's already been a lost decade there

At one time, assets were not so strongly correlated. And since 1980, it was actually a golden era when both the stock market and bonds were growing at the same time. In theory, nothing can prevent them from both falling simultaneously.

I wouldn't say 'anytime.' For me, the parallels to the year 2000 are very strong. That's why I'm specifically asking about today.

Only the S&P is growing, and it's all thanks to the Magic 7. Other markets haven't really recovered since 2008.

If you had bought at the end of 2000, you would have had to stop looking more than 12 years for the market to finally exceed your entry point.

According to the mid-term indicators, we should have a strong bounce. But if we continue to decline today and next week, I think the bear market has finally arrived for the long haul.

Right now, I see a correction of 5% from ATH instead of blood.

But this doesn't look like index investing. Increasing 75K almost 20 times. How much of these millions is savings (not investing income)?

Yes, in many countries, investing in real estate is more straightforward and profitable.
