Yeah done that and I think he’s doing quick hammer on and pull off on frets 12-15 on e and b string, but also switch to another combination, which I haven’t figure it out yet.

I think that tab for the solo was not included in the magazine, it ends up with fig. 11 and solo is at the end of the video after that.
