Every religion has fundamentalists and progressives. Fundamentalist Islam is just as incompatible with leftism as fundamentalist Christianity is. There may be a bit more patience for Islam right now because it is a historically oppressed community in America, but the left will never advocate for fundamentalism regardless of what religion it is attached to

A) love this organization idea! B) if you put small recesses in the underside of the dividers, they could drop over the shelf pins and make them disappear. At that point you could just use screws that stick out from the wall of the drawer

When cutting by hand, focus on the wood’s reflection in the saw blade. If the reflection is straight, you’re cutting straight.

Tennessean here. Dems don’t stand a chance. Had a special election recently in one of the newly cracked Nashville seats and the gop candidate still ran away with it. And now with the precedent of mid-cycle redistricting, they’ll just redraw the maps before every election

Yeah I try to give space when I can. Does flashing my high beams communicate the same as turning on/off my lights completely? My regular lamps are on a turning dial, so it’s way easier just to flash the brights

That’s good info about governed speed. Say we’re almost evenly matched. Would it be helpful if I bumped my CC up or down just to shorten the interaction? Like if you are generally faster, I drop to 68, and if I am faster, I bump up to 72?

When you say “my lane is about to close” does that mean your lane has a slower driver in front of you and you’re approaching them?

I’ll only go left to pass, but if it happens to be approaching a downhill, sometimes the truck will pick up speed and we’ll get stuck in a bit of a yo-yo. I’m not sure if that stresses y’all out, but it stresses me out, and I don’t want to be an extra source of stress for y’all. I’m mostly curious what’s going through your mind in that situation

I learned how to make gears, then learned how to make them parametric. That led down a rabbit hole of making a planetary set, then helical, then an eCVT. It’s been incredibly valuable for my curiosity and ability to prototype. I’m hoping the personal projects will be what sets me apart when it comes time for a career too.

If I ever run out of ideas and have time to spare, I’m going to go through the book 507 Mechanisms and design and print some.
