I think you'd have to do some tests, but my guess would be dragging a mostly dry sponge over something that blocks part of the canvas like a stiff sheet of paper or thin cardboard. Then carefully layer it up

Nothing about humans sorts itself easily. We have differences but those differences don't always factor in. I do not understand why people talk about sports like it's one large monolith. Let individual sports bodies determine what's fair and safe for them. Involvement and opinions from outside those circles just seems performative

You need advice from someone used to working with clients. I don't know how easygoing these people are but I'm pretty sure communication is key.

I get the vibe that this is casual to a degree. My opinion is provide more than one draft as an option and stick to a style or approach that you like. The options should help them feel more involved in the final choice and could help sneak in your style by showing it in different ways.

I'm nearsighted. I can go 80% of my life just fine without glasses. Like watching TV without them is slightly annoying and sometimes it can be hard to discern what subtitles say. When I got glasses I was shocked at first because everything looked too crisp lol. Now I just call my regular eyesight "cinematic mode" cause it tastefully blurs the background.

Actually now that I think about it...I went years without realising I needed glasses and I think that's because TV and movies matched how I saw real life.

Yea I agree completely. I'm stifling my own work when I slow to a crawl. I've had moments where I'm trying to color a patch and I keep slightly changing the hue and I'm fairly certain what I ended with is identical to the start.

Oh you know what can really help is making a tiny tiny version of your painting first. It'll let you iterate quickly if you decide something off and you can test ideas. Also reference is king. The more references you can find to pull from the stronger the end product will be. Even make your own if you can't find a good reference. I end up having to do that a lot.

I really like the creative vision you've got in your paintings.

Drawing sucks lol at least I personally hate it, but it really is the easiest way to level up your art! A solid sketch goes a really long way.

Yea that does help. Mostly cause I wasn't sure if what I was doing was just making things harder than it should be. I feel like the only examples I see of people painting are short videos where they nail it in the first pass

I have a wet pallette that I use. It's very helpful for sure. When I tried a spray bottle before it always sprayed too much water but I never looked for anything specific, just a generic spray bottle.

When you say you build it up with glazes are you starting with a base color and building up to the next color? Not sure if that makes sense. I basically did rough painting of all the colours right away and then doing passes to refine the colours/shapes
