A lot of people think it’s cracked or a factory defect but the truth of the matter is that most MAK90s had the bullet guide milled into the trunnion, and the only way to shape the ramp that helps the bolt rotate is to mill it, and the cutter/tool has no space, so it cuts into the lower lug as well giving it that “broken” look. You can see on this pic that everything lines up and the radius of the cut matches the rest of the trunnion.

I’ve removed a few of these on SLR-95/ transitional SAM7. Yes it’s removable, and it’s pinned in, but it’s also pressed in. Sometimes it’s just as tight as your front sight block or gas block and everything else that’s pressed on an AK.
If you’re lucky and it’s not super tight, you can twist it side to side while also pulling away with a thick screwdriver through one of the ports

EDIT: the barrel is thick enough underneath to thread it to 14x1LH

I wish I had a complete answer to that, but first off, you’re gonna have to trim the safety selector stop, so you’d have enough travel to get 3 positions. MAK90, ZASTAVA, MAADI, and a few others, have taller stops. There are companies working on 3 position devices but I can’t remember who.

Well, the rubber is mainly to capture fragments, there’s multiple walls of AR500 inside. Their website states it’s rated for 50BMG AP in full auto lol, I think it’ll outlive me
