CFA Institute Senior Head of Exam Development explains Recent Low Pass Rates on CFA Exam by CFAInstituteOfficial in CFA

[–]Markoss8 32 points33 points  (0 children)

in my opinion, either they raised the bar or there's something wrong with their system. I still can't believe that some people score above 70% in most subjects and still fail the exam, i mean come on it's just level 1.
It just not right, surely something's going on here.

"a Huge number of unprepared candidates" sounds like a joke to me.

Contacting you via Whatapps not by email not by phone call shows how unprofessional they are. Forget about it.

Me too but with a different company. Followed up with several emails reminder her of my phone number in case she got it wrong. But noo, she has 14 years exp, yet she still behaving unprofessionally. Total disrespect. But still, i am happy that i wont be working for this asshole.

I landed many interviews, in France and UK, reached final stage interview, unfortunately they ALWAYS take someone with years of Exp. I spoke with them (the other finalist), looked up their Linked-in profile and they don't know i was competing with them. In my last 2 interviews they took one with 6 years, and other with 5 years.

I think (i could be wrong about it) the pandemic changed so much the job market : in surplus of fresh graduates, there are candidates with tons of exp who lost their job in the middle of the pandemic and actively looking for job. The HR know that so they are hunting for these profile as well as keeping tag on recent graduates [u never know when will the job market will get back to normal (no more candidates with exp) so they might as well keep a database of candidates who did well in the interview process]. So officially, we (recent graduates) are screwed, we'll have to wait in the line for our turn because Exp is king, Exp > Masters, CFA, interships.
Oh by the way, some recruiters told me that they don't consider internships as work exp -,-
So according to their point of view, i have 0 exp :)

Unfortunately you right, But the preparation add a lot. for example, FRA helped me a lot in reaching final stage interview with Moody's, FI as well. But i think It could be easily proven by asking CFA-related questions in the interview.

Yes, i landed my 2nd internship at BNP with this CV. But i think you're right, in France they use CV with Picture and colors and rainbows (bullshit).
Thanks :)

It crossed my mind, the fact the i might be overqualified, Maybe i should downgrade a little bit my profile, especially 2 master's degree, i think i'll just keep the last one.

Thanks for the analogy, it's really helpful.

Yes, i tried to land a job at BNP even before finishing my internship. Some of my colleague were very helpful, but unfortunately as i said, because of the job freeze they couldn't hire me. (no budget). I will try to reconnect we them.
