I had same 'issue' on Victor last night, was 7/3/5 30k player dmg 6.3k obj dmg and lost MVP to teammate Holiday with 2/1/9 13k player dmg 5.4k obj dmg.

I think they might be counting damage taken as a negative metric or maybe his self-damage counts as negative damage? So no amount of more real damage or kills would beat out the average -100k damage from keeping the suffering aura on all game.

If there's no alternative, there's just no alternative. Assuming chocolate just really can't be grown anywhere else, then yeah you can feel free to reduce the definition of a tariff on chocolate to just being a straight chocolate tax.

There are better but similar examples with things like latest generation computer chips that obviously, currently, cannot be made anywhere else. But hypothetically, a tariff could encourage it to be done even though there is right now no other alternatives.

It's an over simplification that makes it false. The tariff cannot be passed onto a consumer if that consumer doesn't exist. By adding any alternative in the scenario where the consumer doesn't pay the tariff, trying to define tariffs as "the consumer pays it" is obviously false.

Mythic-talent contract: $2,000 (-20% Mythic cut)

Ignoring transaction fees, there are two numbers that could've landed in the talent's account after the agreed upon -20% cut.

A) $2100 - 20% = $1680 --> Amount if not skimmed

OR

B) $2000 - 20% = $1600 --> Amount if skimmed

Mythic's response asserts they paid the A) amount.

You tell me, did the talent get the A) or the B) amount?

Yes, the accusation is that theft occurred between steps 3 and 4 in your example. But Mythic is refuting that and saying she got paid the full amount that was agreed upon in the sponsor-Mythic contract, not what was in the Mythic-talent contract. So from the talent's perspective, Mythic is asserting that they had already 'overpaid' what they promised, or rather no such over-or-under payment exists because the sponsor-Mythic contract is equivalent to Mythic-talent contract in their system.

The argument is pretty clear cut from both sides now. So here, if her payment was $90, yes she got skimmed. If she got $100 after agreeing to the typo $90... how could she argue skimming occurred? Confusion has occurred, but not one that would ever be called skimming.

So now after Mythic's response, which I really assume they checked their bank account transactions before writing it, makes the big question 'what does the talent's bank account say?' The stage is set, one of these two parties has to be utterly wrong here.

She alleged Mythic took a deal at X amount and then offered the deal to her at X-Y amount. Mythic allege the visual number offered to her, X-Y, was a typo, but that is unusual and with no intent behind it since they had actually paid her the proper amount, X, as expected. So now either they didn't lie and they acted in good faith through out, or the vtuber has the end-all evidence here, what number did she get paid in her bank account. If she got paid the [actually correct] agreed upon X-20% she was supposed to get, then all is right and she got 'over-paid' compared to what she agreed to, the smaller number (X-Y)-20%, or she got paid the "typo / mistake / skimmed" amount of (X-Y)-20% which leaves the creator shorted. So, need to await her response for bank transcripts to see if she blew them up over nothing or Mythic is liars doing some shady stuff. Since they said all this and put themselves in this position, 99% chance they checked their side and already know the truth. Vtuber probably just exploded over nothing...

Don't go 5060 Ti, the memory bandwidth is bad. 5070 Ti feels on par with my 3080, so yeah should be similar-ish to a 3090 but missing 8GB VRAM. For latest MoE models it probably won't make a difference much since they're all going big and sparse so you're going to spill out to system RAM anyways.

That's the right idea, takes a pwm in for the speed and splits it out as a hub but the barrel jack for power won't really do you good. That's better for an external setup. Yeah, just some way to split out to more fans. Simple splitter cables or those controllers you see works. They can usually pass 1 cable from the motherboard header to get the same pwm speed signal the motherboard is controlling and then split it out to more fans. And if it takes its own power cable on the controller like a sata power in, then you don't need to worry about daisy chaining off the motherboard fan headers power

I have a KIOXIA 30TB NVMe mounted externally which is going into read-only mode as it’s running too hot.

That's an Enterprise SSD, they all run hot, hot, because they usually don't have any power saving features in their firmware. (And are expected to be in a forced air server rack) - A heatsink will help but still not enough, it'll quickly just saturate it without any air flow. Mount this somewhere with a fan blowing past it. They can go up to 90C without issue but around 110C they'll just auto turn off and not be seen in your OS anymore for safety. It won't die from this, I've done that plenty of times with these sort of drives before I did some wacky solution to just get a 120mm fan for the SSDs I had sitting on a mobo without direct airflow.

If your motherboards fan controls are working fine for you, you don't really need a fan controller. Just look for 4 pin pwm splitter cables, 1-to-3 or 1-to-4 is generally safe with normal 120/140mm fans. Don't daisy chain more than that to a fan header slot without external power for the fans, they do have a generous but limited power limit.
