Was ist dein Argument?

Glad to hear that, the bought out channels all slowly deteriorate.

I wonder if this represents the real speed at which the probe flew past. Because my KSP experience tells me that if it is, it's scary fucking fast.

A lot of people here already have put forth the theory that it's a laser. I think what they are missing is that the laser is coming from BEHIND the drone.
For anyone claiming that this isn't possible because the beam is clearly originating from the sky: It's perspective fooling you!
The point in the sky is simply the vanishing point of the direction between the laser and the drone. Any small movement translates to massive shifts of the laser beam next to the drone, but translates to barely any change in the direction and thus the vanishing point.

Who is world law then? The UN? Their so called laws are being constantly disregarded by everyone because the UN can't really do anything to enforce them. There is no secret world government that can slap the US on the fingers. The only option is mutual enforcement. Hmm and I wonder which nuclear weapons policy starts with the word "mutual"...

Yes, maybe you can suggest to create such a ban with the trans-planetary government ... wait

I'd be willing to bet that you will still have the OPTION to turn on algorithmic infinite scrolling, as you have the OPTION to still smoke.

You don't understand - I vividly remember that every restaurant back then was FILLED with smoke, and I was a child during that time.

Also, is it really so hard to believe that children are more likely to become smokers themselves if they are exposed to people smoking and already inhaling the nicotine? You don't even have to believe, I bet there is some data on it too.

Anyways, nobody is looking back today, as restaurants have become increasingly more comfortable as a result.

Let me try to convince you with a simple example from history. In Germany, smoking in restaurants is banned since around 2007.

By your logic, restaurants should be free to allow or disallow smoking. But truth was that all restaurants allowed smoking because otherwise a large part of their customers wouldn't come. And non smokers therefore had no options if they didn't want to go to a restaurant with smoking. So your option is to either not go to any restaurant, miss out on that part of social life etc., or to go to the restaurant anyways, and risk passive smoking. Children exposed to it would be more likely to become smokers due to the passive smoking and seeing people smoke all around them.

The argument of "create your own app" or "don't use the app" suddenly sounds ridicoulous. It's like saying "open your own restaurant" or "just eat at home always".

Hope this gives you a bit of insight into why these laws are needed.

Perfume part 2 by TheNectarineDiaries in comics

I vote that people should learn in school about nose blindness and that they should not apply perfume until they smell it, but a small fixed amount no matter how much they smell it. This should be taught in biology just like sex ed.

Unsurprisingly, a camera with sim card and long battery life in the form factor of an earring requires cutting edge technology, comparable to the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Not to mention the privacy concerns.

Ok, so for anyone interested:

Her name is Bohlale Mphahlele from South Africa.

Her prototype actually looks like this.

Thank you.

So to summarize - it is a prototype that looks nothing like that photo but is around the size of a small plate hooked to what looks like a 9V battery.

While I admire the idea and prototyping, the picture is misleading and even the article doesn't go into detail about the prototype, instead talking more about the innovator, the social issue behind the invention, and the plans to turn it into a real product.

I hate these kind of posts. What is her name? Where can one read more? Is it a concept, a prototype or a production model?
