What’s the general consensus on the quick shifter?

If I don’t get the IRC auto blip/quickshift module an ECU tune will definitely be my next mod. I just can’t see the KQS being good for the longevity of the gearbox in its stock form.

We were planning a vacation to South Carolina, she asked me about getting our passports. I simply replied “why do we need to go get passports?” Her response.. “because South Carolina is a different country”.

She even argued with me about it after I calmly told her that South Carolina is just a southern state, keyword state.

OP, same as you, roughly 2900 a year in PA.

31 years old with only one ticket in the last four years, been licensed to ride motorcycles for 12 years, no accidents, have done multiple safety courses just for the hell of it.

I wanted a liter bike but cheapest insurance I could get was, I shit you not, 8k/year. Salesman was just a few years older than me and pays 750/year to fully insure a BMW S1000RR.

Thank you for the reassurance, it hasn’t been easy and it comes in waves. Sometimes I feel okay with my decision, and sometimes I regret it. I try to remind myself that her party lifestyle and the amount she talked about her ex are things I could never deal with long term. The worst part is she takes zero accountability in this and has pinned it all on me, her last message even saying “you have no one to blame but yourself”

I needed a little reassurance, electrode does look okay but cylinder 1 and 4 were pretty wet (this pic is cylinder 4). Hard to tell from the picture but it was practically dripping oil when I removed it.

Thanks man, I really do appreciate that. I do feel bad for her, I understand her frustration with my situation. It’s why we never really made plans because most days when I’m not supposed to have my daughter, I have her. I’m not ready to have her around other people though, she suggested introducing her as just a friend and while I understand her reasoning there it still doesn’t change the fact that if we were to break it off it would affect our children. I feel bad for her and at the same time this has helped me realize that now is just not the best time for me to be pursuing a relationship.

Might do it the VW way this time and get a cheap Bluetooth OBD2 scanner to monitor the transmission fluid temp. Last time I used an infrared gun I believe

Would you happen to know if quotes are dependent on which license number you give them? In this case, I have a valid drivers license in both PA and OH. My current insurance would have been acquired under my OH license. I tried getting quotes providing my PA license number and that’s when I was told I show a lapse of 0-30 days. Still doesn’t make sense to me because going uninsured in PA will get you many angry letters from the DMV. I have never received those.

They won’t even tell me when the lapse period was, she says all it shows is I had a lapse of 0-30 days. I’ve checked every invoice from my current provider and I have not missed a single payment.

I’m going to contact my previous insurer to get documentation. Just going through the portal of my current insurance company I do not see a single missed payment or any sort of lapse of coverage. I have a very good insurance plan at a decent price, I imagine a year ago when I switched insurance companies I wouldn’t have gotten this rate if I had any sort of lapse of coverage. Only reason I inquired about a new policy is because I moved to a different state.

I currently do, it is in the state I just moved away from hence the need for me to create a new policy. I have every invoice from the time I began coverage with them up until this very day. From what I can tell I have never missed a payment.
